Maggie got hurt yesterday and didnt return so I'm not too surprised there but she was in the video from shootaround this morning so I'm guessing its nothing too bad.
Doesn't seem like theres much discussion about the injuries yesterday on here. Did Czinano come back in after she left the game with what looked like a knee or ankle injury? Mara definitely tweaked her ankle late in the game too but finished the game.
Shes just trying to do too much, I like her playing off the ball with Amaya playing pg, Shes a good shooter but when shes handling the ball she keeps getting into bad spots and turning it over.
For a 6'5" player she moves well, not sure id call her agile but again for her size she moves well. Was a player that was always gonna need to develop offensively but defense and rebounding she would add something this team doesnt have.
The Gopher twitter has already started following her, doesnt always mean alot but Id be pretty surprised if they didnt go hard after her. Shes a good player but NC State is a top 5 team in the country and went to the portal this offseason to add a couple really good bigs.
Nebraska better hope Haiby comes back soon because they desperately miss her. They really need someone that can get to the basket and create offensively. The step down from her to Brady/Hake/krull is massive.
just an update on this, Whalen said on pregame she got hurt in the Lehigh game but played thru it, sounds like they thought she might be able to play tonight so hopefully she dont miss much time.
Sounds like Madol was recruited by quite a few p5s, not sure who. But Gophers had been on her for a couple years and even went to see her in Canada this winter. Heres a tweet from Carly in Saskatchewan that proves that.
I dont think they ever put out a full release on their 23 class like they usually do which leads me to believe they may have been waiting for someone else. The Canadian kid would make sense, otherwise it has to be a younger kid.
They took alot of bad shots which led to alot of easy buckets for Lehigh. Definitely gotta play smarter basketball and not force it. But being down 10 with about 6 minutes left and scratching and clawing to win the game with a bunch of youngsters was impressive. Braun and Battle are already so...
Tennessee was tough to watch, they are incredibly talented but they dont have much shooting and they dont play team basketball. Some of those turnovers were mind boggling.
