I'd love to live in Duluth but there's almost no jobs there for someone with a college degree outside the medical industry. The few that are there pay about half what a comparable job does in the cities. And I've looked a lot.
Minnesota is quickly becoming a centralized one metro state Paris/France style. I'd expect to see the trend of the metro (plus Rochester) booming and the outstate slowly dying off continue if not accelerate over the next several decades.
As much as I hate Wisconsin, small town/rural areas there...
His highlight reel is really solid. Wisconsin always seems to have these big giant dudes as kickers that can kick it a mile. I’m glad we’ve managed to steal one from their backyard.
This looks a really good last minute get. We badly need DEs.
Previously had offers from: Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Texas and SMU.
I would bet on it being Walters. We recruit Saint Louis pretty heavily and there was a report awhile back they were reaching out to kids committed to Mizzou (and BC).
My pipe dream is the Big Ten, PAC, and Rose Bowl agreeing to go back to how it was. Champions of the two conferences play on New Years Day in Pasadena. As for the SEC and the rest, screw them. If they want to have a national championship then they can figure out a way to determine who plays the...
I don't know if I'd say a win vs Auburn would be better than the Penn State win. But it would do more to lift the national reputation of the program, especially outside the midwest.
I’m going to be in LA on a family trip that was planned over a year ago. I’m jealous of all the Minnesotans going to Tampa while I’m surrounded by Badger fans. Have fun!
Most Auburn fans seem pissed Alabama got a more prestigious (from their view) bowl but otherwise excited to play us. Is Citrus > Outback a new thing?? I always remember the Outback being equal if not slightly better.
I doubt there’s really that many LSU grads in Atlanta. Louisiana is far more connected to Houston. Sure grads from a lot of SEC schools like Bama and Auburn flock to Atlanta for jobs but I don’t think that holds as true for LSU. Should be pretty even turnout at this game.
I'm so drunk.
the loud speaker at TCF better have California Dreaming tee-ed up for Saturday when the Gophers have a big lead going into the fourth quarter.
I'd sure as hell rather me complaining about too expensive of tickets than the alternatives.
I have my tickets and there ain't a price I'd sell them for.
Probably a little lower. There's more people in their 20s on here than you'd imagine. Everyone I know roughly my age that's a Gopher fan at least casually reads Gopherhole from time to time.
As an aside, the most hardcore Gopher fans seem to be either older than 50 or younger than 30. There...
