They're 4th in the conference in free throw shooting. The shooting is good, the shots they are taking are bad.

Even ignoring the turnovers, Maryland's offense looks so much better. They're moving the ball around, getting the defense out of position, and getting good shots. The Gophers look happy with a couple of passes and a low percentage shot.

Too bad they aren't allowing fans. This would be a really fun game to be at.

The defense and rebounding have been great but the shooting needs to get better. I don't think they're going to win if they shoot 35% again in the second half.

Which is why Pitino should sit Carr more and see if it continues over a longer period of time. Even if it doesn't, hopefully Pitino making it clear that Carr isn't guaranteed minutes would make him a better team player and get rid of some of the bad shots.

I'd like to see Carr start on the bench next game. 3 horrible shooting games in a row, shooting too much, and not getting many assists. It wasn't for long but the offense looked so much better with him on the bench.

They've had the same players all year. They can't hit the shots consistently so they shouldn't be taking them. Pitino doesn't seem to agree.

Carr being in foul trouble probably isn't a bad thing with how he's been playing recently.

They don't pick the 64 best records at the end of the season or play March Madness in the Barn. Hard to have much hope for the season when the important games will be played outside of Minnesota and the Gophers have been embarrassed every time they left home.

This will be our 3rd blowout loss. If the losses were within 10 points or so we would feel a lot better. Right now we're losing by more than Green Bay lost to us by.

They're good teams but not good enough that the Gophers should be shooting this poorly. Maryland shot 50% at Wisconsin. Ohio shot 48% at Illinois. Maryland shot 48% vs Michigan.

Why can't Pitino prepare the team to play on the road? They're shooting 31% today which would be tied for their best road shooting percentage this season. I love how they've played at home but they seem to forget how to play offense on the road.

Not a surprise Carr was the one to get the game close again. With the rest of the team shooting so poorly they may as well keep letting him shoot.

Didn't see it, that would explain why it looked so bad. Still, there was no reason for him to take that shot. He's been rough enough this season he doesn't need to be forcing up shots.
