    2025 Recruiting

I also think there is zero chance that Aaliyah Crump even considers Minnesota. And even though Maddy Greenway isn't germane to this thread since she's a 2026, I really don't think she'll end up there. If Minnesota is looking for a point guard, for the class of 2025 I think Addi Mack is the...

    Signings 2024 Class

Hopkins eeked out a 2 point win against STMA last night, so both them and Tonka will go into the final game of the season 23-2. Should be a good game.

All Things Maddyn Greenway Recruitment Thread (Class of 2026, Gophers Offered)

From watching for the last 10+ years, my hot take is this: parents shop around to find the coaches who are willing to let their kids play HS basketball starting in 7th or 8th grade, and they will move their kid from school to school if the coach won't meet their demands. Coaches are more willing...

Maya Nnaji, Hopkins 2022, is leaving basketball

Pretty sure she left the team but not the school.

Maya Nnaji, Hopkins 2022, is leaving basketball

Thought this was interesting. Arizona announced walk-on tryouts and in a Twitter thread about that, someone screenshot a previous comment from Nnaji that she left the team due to a toxic environment.

    2024 Recruiting

I have been watching these girls play for a long time and really love seeing them all succeed. It does seem to me almost like a switch went off in Liv's head this season. Maybe it was losing the state championship by such a narrow margin last year that did it for her. Who knows, all I know is...

    2024 Recruiting

I have, and I have to admit I am impressed. She's improved and matured a lot and really has very little help out there with the current Hopkins roster. She's fun to watch and my only fear now is that she gets hurt because she is having to play so much and do so much out there. Tonight's...

    2025 Recruiting

This is a nice Aaliyah Crump highlight video from Minnetonka's game against Providence Academy. I think that game really showed her next-level talent and how there really isn't a player in Minnesota who can compete with her talent right now, even though we have a lot of talented players. She...

Maya Nnaji, Hopkins 2022, is leaving basketball

I am guessing not, but Arizona is known for its merit scholarships for gifted students so she may have had some academic money in addition to or instead of athletic money.

Maya Nnaji, Hopkins 2022, is leaving basketball

She wasn't just in pre-med. She has been accepted into Arizona's accelerated program for a medical education, which means that she will graduate with her MD in 7 years instead of the usual 8 (4 undergrad + 4 medical school). Being regular pre-med would have been hard enough, but trying to get an...

Game 8: Gophers Host Drake (12-2-23)

Didn't get to watch the game but was following along online. So excited the Gophers were able to pull this one off...i think it will pay off in spades as far as grit and confidence go. All Iowa Attack has been sending a lot of players to Drake and with that club's emphasis on shooting it isn't...

    2025 Recruiting

Decided to put this here since Aaliyah Crump is the only Minnesotan on this list whose recruitment is still open. She was named to the Naismith Trophy High School Watchlist. https://naismithtrophy.com/2023-24-jersey-mikes-naismith-girls-high-school-preseason-watch-list/ The other two named...

    2026 Recruiting

I have seen her play a few times including this weekend and that is exactly what I have seen during the high school season. Let's talk about that Hopkins game. 16 of those points were free throws (which was impressive...16/16) and there were plenty of complaints that the refs were bailing her...

    2026 Recruiting

With Kendall McGee out presumably for the season due to an ACL injury she sustained at the state tournament last year, other Benilde players will have to step up if they want to win. The team needs a game plan in case Olivia doesn't play or has to leave a game (in this case due to injury)...

Game 1: Gophers Host LIU (11-8-23)

Halloway was a rebounding machine in high school but really wasn't a big scorer until her senior year. She gets the rebounds because of her athleticism...she's very thin but that woman has hops. Remember she was a 2x state champion in the high jump and also competed at state in a couple of...

    2026 Recruiting

I believe she was playing on an ECNL team before quitting to focus primarily on basketball.

    2025 Recruiting

Well, it looks like Minnesota may have some interest in recruiting from the Class of 2025 after all. Hadley Thul is a tall guard from Alexandria. Had played for North Tartan for the last couple of years and started for them in the USAB 10th grade US Open event this summer. I think she's a bit of...

    2025 Recruiting

Besides Aaliyah Crump, she's the only 2025 in Minnesota ranked by ESPN. She's ranked #3 in the state by Prep Girls Hoops and #2 by Jr. All Star. She just got back from Wooten 150. She is a great shooter...I think I saw her hit 7 in a game once. That being said, she doesn't seem to be much of a...

    2026 Recruiting

I am an Iowa native and as a high schooler it was always a given to see Dowling at the top of pretty much every sport. Luckily, we were a smaller school in a different division so never had to play them ourselves! As an adult living in Des Moines, the Dowling-West Des Moines Valley rivalry was...

    2026 Recruiting

Sorry, didn't post. This is an Iowa player, out of Des Moines Dowling, which is a young, talented team. They came to Minnesota last year to play against Hopkins and only lost by 10, which is pretty amazing considering Dowling had a lot of freshmen and sophomores on their roster.
