    I watched 0 plays—explain the game in 3 sentences

Trickett had a great game. Dylan Wright was utilized. Michael Dixon looked good.

Transition should be complete - Tanner to Athan

What have you seen in recent times that would suggest Fleck would do that? Remember, this is the coach with a track record of leaving Morgan in most games when the outcome is well beyond decided. You're dishonest.

    Would MO stay another year?

Based on seeing a lot of Rodney Smith and David Cobb, I think Mo is easily an NFL guy for a few years. I also think he stands a good chance of getting drafted next year, whereas that was extremely unlikely after an Achilles injury.

Poll: Who should be QB1 vs Northwestern?

If you're watching the practices, you can tell us that MBS is better than Brockington. If not, that's not what we've been seeing in games.

P.J. Fleck explains Gophers' cautious, run-heavy play-calling from 31-0 victory over Rutgers

Fair enough. I would say that 14-0 against Rutgers in the 4th quarter isn't evidence of either a particularly well-coached or poorly coached game given the level of talent for the 2022 team. They accomplished the most important goal of winning the game, but I'm in the camp that would like to...

P.J. Fleck explains Gophers' cautious, run-heavy play-calling from 31-0 victory over Rutgers

Perfectly stated. Amazing how some people cannot grasp this. Some people already understood that the 2022 Gophers are very good at grinding inferior opponents down with the running game, which they did Saturday. It was well-executed. There is also wanting to see some improvement, which there...

    We've stagnated. Tough conversation below

Yes. Is is it reasonable for a Gopher fan to think that Kaliakmanis gives the team an equal or improved chance of achieving those goals? My question was not who do you think is a better option, but is it a reasonable enough possibility that it doesn't warrant your typical snide dismissive...

    We've stagnated. Tough conversation below

Yes. Tanner has had a very successful career as a Gopher QB.

    We've stagnated. Tough conversation below

I'm guessing you're an old man with a poor memory, but just to remind you, most of the fans have watched dozens of Tanner Morgan's starts going way back to 2018. He's literally lost his hair, gotten married and started a family over the past 6 years. To be a little more direct for your benefit...

La Velle Neal: P.J. Fleck should thank Tanner Morgan ... then switch to Athan Kaliakmanis as Gophers QB

How dare you contradict the self-appointed Gopherhole Voice of Reason, RememberMurray? He is a but a beacon of stability amidst the turbulent and fickle opinions of the unwashed Gopherhole masses.

Fleck on KFAN “all that falls on me” in response to Gophers performance.

Ok. If that's your story, I won't try to convince you otherwise. We're talking about a kid who was a 4 star recruit and who has now been in the program for two years. And one who clearly showed he had all the tools to be successful at this level against Penn State caliber competition. You're...

Fleck on KFAN “all that falls on me” in response to Gophers performance.

Morgan got 12 throws off for 21 yards in the first three quarters the game before this one. PJ will have his excuses and his supporters will have plenty of additional ones but as he said coming out out the locker room at the half, his game plan for yesterday was to run the ball and shorten the...

I guess I'll take your word for it on the fan base but I would think winning would be more important than style. It's not often the Johnny come latelies drop in and beat the established powers at their own game.

Coming out of the half, Fleck on his gameplan - "we just wanted to run the ball and shorten the game". I'm not sure how he still has yet to learn that isn't good enough against Big Ten teams with more talent than yours. It's gonna take more.

If the MLB gets in under, the QB can't drop it in over the top. The safeties have other responsibilities until late. I'm not football coach though, so I'll I quit there.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN STATE PRIME TIME WHITE OUT IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I saw it as 55 having middle of the field responsibility, reacting too slowly, getting blown past and then the QB dropping in a pass over his head. In that scheme MLB is supposed to take away the middle of the field for most of the play.

Athan! Perfect throw into coverage, great runs under pressure. Those plays opened it up for Mo. It's like, maybe balance is a good thing?
