Here is Ben Utecht & Dan Nystrom singing the National Anthem before the first game post-9/11. (This is the infamous end zone paint Purdue game)

Yeah, crazy how time flies. The one that gets me, is 9/11 was 22 years ago. 22 years before that was 1979.

Post Game Thread: Gophers Defeat Eastern Michigan and Improve to 2-0!!

Probably the worst play of the game was was on 3rd & goal from the 6 just before our first FG. An obvious passing situation to the defense with a very short field, and we ran a 2-man route into crowded 7-man coverage. A straight pass too, not even a play action. Sure enough AK throws to the WR...

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over Nebraska?

It was frustrating to get gashed by the run like we did, but somewhat understandable considering we did not even know what offense they'd be running, and we were without our best tackler. The running game is obviously a huge concern at this point, but I don't know if I put this on the coaches...

The official reports won't be tabulated for a few more months, but I can't imagine a Minnesota spring with fewer severe weather reports. Since May 1st, the north metro has been especially dry, with only about an inch of precip since then. The south metro has been somewhat better with 2-4"...

In my lifetime 1998 was memorable. You had the Comfrey - St. Peter tornadoes in March. Then there was a largely forgotten about billion-dollar sever weather event in Mid-May: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_15,_1998,_Minnesota_storms Followed a couple weeks later by one of the largest...

    All Things Weather

Here are a few.... 1. Probably the most comprehensive is this link from the U of M. It takes some works to get the data you may be looking for, but it contains the full reports (high/low/rain/snow/depth) going back to the beginning for dozens of official climate sites in Minnesota...

Will not help the Red River situation, that is for sure. They were already expecting moderate - major flooding. But on the positive side, QPF is only expected to be around 1.3 inches, which is not a ton for 18 inches of April snow (14:1 ratio). In our storm on Thursday-Friday in the Twin...
