Koi Perich is Trying to Make Up for Late Start with Gophers

Pair and a Spare podcast said they saw him at the media practice this week. Sounds like he is already turning heads and will likely get a crack at punt returns and could earn safety snaps on certain downs/packages. Burns said he gets the feeling that Fleck and staff think he's too good to hide...

Minnesota Gophers 2024: Anthony Smith’s Versatility Key to Defensive Line Success

I keep hearing about versatility and moving guys around in this new defense. I heard Fleck mention yesterday that they wanted to do more of this in previous season(s) but now feel like they have the guys to do it. But with a new coordinator, new schemes and guys playing multiple roles, that...

Ranking the Gophers 2024 Opponents from toughest to easiest.

I know the stats prove me wrong, but it just feels like Illinois always has our number, but the game is always in the "should-win" or "coin-flip" column. Illinois to us is kind of like Northwestern is to WI.

Brosmer Shows Gophers Short Passing Attack - The U is incorporating more short passing routes in fall camp.

Ryan Burns said on the GGR podcast that he thinks Williams needs another year before he makes an impact on this team. He was higher on Christian Driver and Nuke Hayes. But again, we'll have to see

    Open Practice - 8/3

True, but he has framed the fall camp conversations around addressing the shortcomings in the passing game. Sounds like from the open practice and from what he and the staff are saying, they are trying to fix those things. Things I've heard from Fleck and staff when asked by the press that...

All Things 2024 Gophers Football Fall Camp Updates Thread (Tweets, Videos, Etc)

I can't find many video clips from BTN coverage last night. There are few on Twitter but nothing on YouTube yet. Did anyone watch their coverage of our Fall Camp last night?

Reusse: P.J. Fleck is a much better coach than Tim Brewster, but when it comes to gibberish ...

There is a huge opportunity to show an ability to adjust and adapt, right? I think a lot depends on how the team wins/loses and how they respond to things like injuries or how the coaches respond to mistakes on the field. Fleck has been quick to take the pass game away at the first signs of...

PJ Fleck enthusiastic about Minnesota’s chances in new Big Ten

It has been years of "the West sucks so bad, the schedule is so easy, MN should win it easily" to "now we'll never win with a divisionless 18 team conference"....wouldn't it be something if MN could actually thrive in the new B1G and catch everyone by surprise?

Reusse: P.J. Fleck is a much better coach than Tim Brewster, but when it comes to gibberish ...

Fleck isn't pretending last year was incredible. If you listened to his comments during B1G Media Days, I heard Fleck admitting that he and the team fell short in many areas, including the passing game and the return game. He took action by getting a new QB and got some intriguing WRs from the...

Reusse: P.J. Fleck is a much better coach than Tim Brewster, but when it comes to gibberish ...

Ok Pat, what would you prefer Fleck do? Not say a thing until he wins a Rose Bowl? Ridiculous. This article is another "tell me you are out of touch without telling me you are out of touch."

RandBall: P.J. Fleck is trying to love the moment, but is that a tough sell for fans?

Agreed. I even heard Fleck admit out loud they want a more explosive return game so they made a change at ST coordinator. He's previously been silent about that unit for 7 seasons despite them being last in the conference year after year.

    Max Brosmer Interview: Media Days

Sits in on the Offense Coach Meetings. Values completions and keeping the offense on-schedule above all else. Gets frequent reps with his WRs in his "off hours." I haven't seen him play yet, but he's sure saying all the right things.

    Fall camp schedule?

Ryan Burns was complaining on the latest Gopher Gridiron Radio podcast that he has no info about Fall Camp aside from it starts on Monday. But he complains about the U and their press access all the time.

What Big Ten’s Bill Carollo would do same, differently on infamous invalid fair catch call in Iowa-Minnesota game

This is exactly correct. If Iowa fans are still not over it, they need to go outside and touch grass.

Fleck said his team is healthy entering training camp with one exception: Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Jerome Williams will miss the season

This is my new favorite Fleck quote. Hope that means they'll have a better offense this season...
