CBS predicts Gophers will go 5-7 (wins: North Carolina, Rhode Island, Nevada, Iowa, Maryland)

But what if it's our year? What if we beat expectations like we did in 2019? A lot riding in QB, WR, and defensive play.

    Sun exposure on north side?

I love the sunny side. Started out in the shade and it was really cold on those October/November games, so we moved after a few seasons to the sunny side.. There is always a scorcher game in September (this year we start the schedule with 4 home games, so there may be more than one). For those...

STrib: Koi Perich, Gophers' prized football recruit, arrives on campus ready to make his mark

I haven't been hyped on a player more than Koi. I really hope he lives up to it!

Goodness Gracious. The annual off-season love for Nebraska and doubt in P.J. Fleck continues to impress.

Nebraska is starting a True Freshman QB, right? Also, ouch to Purdue if 4.5 is too high.

    Minnesota-Iowa: NBC Primetime 9/21

Pig game in primetime is great! I would hope all of our rivalry games should garner that kind of attention.

Asmussen: So far at Illinois, Bielema has Fleck's number

Gophers hit hard by transfer portal? Seems like a misleading statement. AK was the only starter on offense that transferred right?

Paul Bunyan Axe to be played on Black Friday.

On the face of it, this seems like a lose-lose situation for both Gopher and Badger fans.

Emmanuel Karmo closes recruitment. Cancels visits at other schools.

I can't imagine the amount of voices in his ear (coaches, parents, Fleck, our B1G competitors). Hard as a young man to sort through them all and make a decision that is his own.

    PJ Fleck Podcast

Interesting to note, he talked about how players spend their NIL money. Max Brosmer taking his teammates out to a Braves game. Charitable giving was also mentioned. Something I hadn't actually thought about with regard to NIL.

    Spring Practice Observations

I have yet to see Fleck pull a QB "pretty fast" when playing poorly. I guess I'll believe it when I see it.

    Deacon Hill in Portal

That would have to be a first. Being a QB for the Badgers, Hawkeyes and Gophers in a college career.

    All Things Transfer Portal Thread

Don't be surprised if Gophers try to land a transfer QB with multiple years eligibility to be backup this year and compete to start next year.

I'd like to see some WR depth and DB depth. Probably a QB with multiple years left to be a bridge to Drake Lindsey

P.J. Fleck and players spring conference.

Biggest thing I noticed is that Daniel Jackson mentioned Max does things no other QB has done since he's been there. When pressed on an example, he said the ability to adjust the plays at the LOS pre-snap to get the WRs and RBs in the best chance to succeed against a defense. Also noticed in...

NO SPRING GAME! Gophers start spring practice March 21; open practice for the public is April 11

Are they flat out not having one? Or are they doing what they've done in the past because of weather (indoor at Athlete's Village, covered by BTN) It's fine either way, I honestly don't think it matters, but I would love to get a preview of what we're in store for with new offensive skill players.

What do you miss most about Gopher games at the Metrodome?

Giving it a proper farewell when we got torched 55-0 by Iowa. Good riddance. There may have been some good wins that happened at the Dome (I saw us win the axe there twice) but the venue itself did not enhance the experience.
