    Big10 Tourney Tickets

I’m a season ticket holder. Our lower level package for the tournament are in the corner in Sec 124. They were supposedly assigned based on gopher Loyalty score. I have a reasonably low score, but those who also have football tix or give mega bucks have lower scores. The best seats are always...

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Career game for Payne. He played with a lot of confidence and poise, not just on O, but on D, too, without silly fouls. Also thought Garcia, again, played great defense. Really was a team effort. Of course gotta clean up those late game lapses that give us all nightmares, but they played like...

Shooter: If the Gophers’ Ben Johnson wins 20 this season, he would be a legitimate candidate for BT Coach of the Year

Too much counting chickens before they hatch for me. Let them play the games and let’s see what happens…

Gopher Coaches Show: Ben Johnson Feb. 12 (Video)

Great interview with Hawkins. Fun to get a better sense of him as a person. Seems like a positive leader for the team and likes being here.

    Payne--PLEASE

Back to the subject of his FTs, I suspect he and the coaches have worked on them. There are some notable big men who suffered from the line throughout their careers, to name a few: Wilt, Shaq, Giannis. Perhaps someday he will deserve mention in the same sentence as those for other aspects of...

If Garcia is out, who starts against Purdue?

Of course. My point is that any player can get injured at any time (as we have seen). I was never coached to “play dirty,” nor did I ever coach a kid to do so. C’mon man!

If Garcia is out, who starts against Purdue?

I think Garcia will play. However, if he doesn’t, start JOJ. Payne is very likely to get into early foul trouble again in this game no matter what the coaches tell him. Purdue has demonstrated that they can be beat. Of course we have shown that we can play horribly, or great (for stretches)...

Ben Johnson: “We lost our edge. Even though we were up the energy, the vibe wasn’t what it needed to be. We got low into their pace.”

IMO, there is plenty of blame to be spread around for this most disappointing loss. The first half was a demonstration of how this team can and should play: ball movement, good shot selection, and Garcia played like All Big Ten. As some players a acknosledged after the game, the team should...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

We need to handle Krikke in the paint. He burned us inside at The Barn. And Dix shot very well, both from 3 and mid range jumpers. Agree that defense is the key. Plus, get Payne the ball in the paint, need Dawson to score early and often, and Cam to keep playing like all- B1G freshman! Go Gophers!

Chip: Time for Williams Arena teardown? Not if we get more Gophers games like Tuesday's.

WTF are you talking about? I said that I do not hear people griping ABOUT the bathrooms, not griping IN the bathrooms. BTW, I am not overweight, but I am well over 6 feet, played the post. You were probably one of those skinny guards, or maybe you didn’t hoop. Wanting larger seats means I’m fat...

Okay. Fine to be wrong on this, don’t care that much about it. Guess I’m defining older As roughly 55+

I essentially agree with the points you make. Us old time season ticket holders won’t be around forever and there has to be appeal to a younger audience and families. I acknowledge that I do not know what appeals to that younger fan base. Yet, I hope they do not build entirely new.

Good for you! Low turnover on the concession staff then? Personally, never had The Barn ice cream. Don’t tell me my life would have been just a little bit better…

Hahaha. No. I stand for the rouser, of course, and stand to cheer, for the anthem, etc. Also stand and chat with people I know near my seats at halftime. To be more precise, I should have said that I don’t leave my seat area.

I rarely leave my seat once the game starts, so I wouldn’t know about the lines🙂. I will say, though, that the beer line before the Badger game was particularly long with perhaps 2000 WI fans in the arena.

Who 👃a FOURTH W in a row, from FRAN?

I watched PSU beat Iowa last night. They turned them over A LOT, and limited their perimeter shooting. I think we are capable of doing the same. Iowa does have good post play. When we lost to them here, we got burned inside, and they hit some crucial jumpers. Carver Hawkeye Arena is a tough...

Chip: Time for Williams Arena teardown? Not if we get more Gophers games like Tuesday's.

I did not say “no one buys concessions.” Obviously, some people do. I said that the long time season ticket holders who sit around us tend not to. But you seem to miss my point, which was that upgrading the arena to provide better concessions seems unnecessary. And no, I would not see it as a...

Chip: Time for Williams Arena teardown? Not if we get more Gophers games like Tuesday's.

I could be wrong on this, but I think a lot of people with high ticket priority, long time ticket holders, are older. We tend not to buy “ junk food,” hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, popcorn, etc. Most people that I see in the lines tend to be younger, maybe even people who don’t attend as often...

Chip: Time for Williams Arena teardown? Not if we get more Gophers games like Tuesday's.

As a long time season ticket holder, I have sat in various sections and attended games with low attendance and sellouts (yes, a long time ago). The people who sit around us are also season ticket holders, of course. Rarely does anyone purchase anything from concessions, so I don’t think...
