Hard to know what to say, except that winning teams get game-winning hits. Pease could be 6-0 on the season. I hurried home from having day surgery to watch MN lose another game they should've won. Surgery hurt less.

I was really impressed in 2022 by the Maryland HC. He seemed a veteran, who knew the game and had an organized team on the field playing with a purpose.

I don't think it's a lack of talent. The problem has to lie some place else. Scraping together a single run per game? Making routine plays in the field? We see some of the same lackluster play in other Gophers programs, too.

I agree; they have some real talent, but two things are needed, as you mentioned, consistent pitching from all four in the circle and strong assertive hitting from Strelow, Cox,Valencia, and Elke; the bottom 4 in the batting order has to produce big time!

On offense for 4 games relying on Den Hartog, a transwer player, and 4 freshmen. The veterans in the bottom half of the lineup not stepping up. You can't expect freshmen to carry a team for a whole season. In the circle only Pease looks ready to compete. Hopefully there'll be improvement in time.
