Gophers open as 8 point underdogs against Auburn.

Man I hope Tanner wouldn’t have been backup. I wansnt taking a shot. Instead of winning 40-24 or 40-27 against Illinois it was 40-17. That type of stuff.

Sagarin (and there are other very similar ones out there) does a good job of getting 50/50 results. There will be 20-30 teams like the Gophers that take too long to move up the ranks and catch the right opening line but there will be 20-30 of the opposite. And like I said, it’s not directly...

Well there you go, the Vegas algorithm is off because you won 2 bets where you thought it was wrong.

They have an algorithm that is basically the same as Sagarin or anyone out there like his. They start it there 95% of the time maybe moving it a point or two for injuries or maybe to trick the public in certain cases. Just watch KenPom (basketgall) or Sagarin’s lines and compare them to what...

I think that game opened low for the Gophers because they thought Morgan may be out. I think it went from 12 to 16.

I love all of this talk about the southern team in the bowl game, etc. Sagarin has it at 8.5. That’s where these lines always start. All of the noise of, “this team won’t care about the bowl game” or “there is bias towards SEC talent” evens out over time. Half of the time those are right, half...

So App State should be #5 or so, right? We don’t know for sure that they’d lose to Ohio State or Penn State and they’re 11-1.

We are also one iffy pass interference call against Penn State from having our best win be over Georgia Southern. I don’t understand the complaining. Iowa, Wisconsin, PSU all played 4 or 5 ranked/tough games, we played 3. We did fine in winning 1 but having an extra loss is expected for Iowa...

Replace Rutgers with @Ohio State on our schedule like Penn State/Wisconsin had or maybe even @Michigan like Iowa had. How many losses do we end up with? A very, very, strong chance of 3 losses.

I’m sensing a trend here. Imagine if we were scheduled to play Ohio State. We’d get pounded. Penn State only lost by a modest amount due to some fluky Ohio State fumbles.

Bob Sansevere on U: Just one of their 10 wins had you go, “Wow!” The victory over Penn State, and that’s it.

I enjoyed the hell out of the season and the wins. I didn’t mean to rain on it but I will also not disagree with someone that is negative on some of the wins because they went from, “we’re favored, we should win most of these” to, “this other team can’t even get the ball past midfield.”

Will be interesting next year when we might not draw the backup/3rd string QBs from all of those teams (other than PSU)

I’d say Oturu and Coffey qualify for the squirrel finding the nut. I realize both were short of 5-stars but we need to keep getting these guys and then luck into something else.

Given the split of our fans on here defending various players in various forms of potential rape in the past few years, I wouldn’t make that leap next time we have a dirty play. The biased idiots are heard because they’re much larder. Also, we got boned on a lot of targeting calls...but go and...
