Well, you are batting 1000. Everyone disagrees with you. 1. You say don't gift wrap the job for Lindsey. 2. Don't bring in a QB to compete. 1 and 2 are mutually exclusive.

So, in reality, you don't want anybody else's opinion as you asked in start of thread. A dozen people have told you why you bring in another QB, but your staying with your initial thought, which is fine. Why ask then? I would add one thing. Nobody is saying you aren't or won't develop Lindsey...

I don't understand your point. You say don't gift wrap the job for Lindsey, but if you don't bring in an experienced QB, aren't you just doing that? You're contradicting yourself.

I disagree only because, who knows? Hetherman had experience as a DC, even though it was at lower level. You knew how he ran defenses and what he liked to to and he was very successful at lower level. Winston might be great, but making him DC is a huge leap in faith, similar to hiring Johnson...

Haven't really listened or read much of his stuff lately, but I always liked him and thought he had good info when he was in Memphis and then 1st couple years with CBS. Was always tight with Calliperi and a number of other high end coaches.

Basically agree with premise. Could have been a great season. They got beat, no excuses by Iowa and Rutgers, but Kesich misses 2 very makeable field goals vs UNC, got reffed vs Michigan and had a chance vs PSU. Shoulda woulda coulda been 9 - 3 or at least 8 - 4.on the other hand, won 1...

I think, and I may be wrong, but think bowls would rather have PJ and Gopher fans than, for sure Rutgers and Nebraska was below us overall and 2 games in BIG. Still think we do no worse than Duke's.
