Didn't our Non-Conf just get more interesting - Nevada up on SMU by 11 as they get close to the 4th Qtr

Apparently the new coach is a big improvement as he actually has 2 TDs today.

Jeff Choate the Nevada coach probably isn't someone to overlook as he left the Texas Def Coord role to take this job. If nothing else, this should give PJ plenty of material to get the team's attention.

Didn't our Non-Conf just get more interesting - Nevada up on SMU by 11 as they get close to the 4th Qtr

Well, I didn't see the 1st half but it seems like SMU is choking under the pressure with big penalties giving Nevada life by prolonging drives, but give Nevada credit they are capitalizing.

Culture Counts: Deion Sanders chaotic culture turns into locker room violence in Colorado

That's not impossible as last year Dan Lanning (Oregon) took several shots at Deion and some of the things Colo was doing in social media. However, Oregon proceeded to pummel them in the game and Deion was actually smart and pretty much took his lumps and didn't come back with much.

Culture Counts: Deion Sanders chaotic culture turns into locker room violence in Colorado

It never ceases to amaze me how some people in College Admin & PR are clueless about the details they provide. By now highlighting these phrases to the media, which we now know infuriate Deion and the Colo Admin, they have now heightened the awareness. The use of these phrases in association...

Big Ten QB Rankings: Brosmer #13

He definitely has the benefit of having a few family members well-versed in the sport to get advice from. Unlike some other kids whose family members/friends have the chasing dollar signs and short-term rewards.

Big Ten QB Rankings: Brosmer #13

Lucky for Max, he's playing behind the best offensive line he has ever had.

    Kirk Ferentz commits recruiting violation

Yeah, the Iowa program is just a paragon of virtue isn't it, and an example of how to do things the right way. Let's briefly review the last 4 yrs: June 2020, Ferentz and Iowa strength coach Chris Doyle were accused by former players of having made racially insensitive comments and contributing...

Big Ten QB Rankings: Brosmer #13

Just a reference, this was the Athlon 2023 QB Ranking put out on 8/18 of last year. J.J. McCarthy, Michigan Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland Kyle McCord, Ohio State Drew Allar, Penn State Tanner Mordecai, Wisconsin Cade McNamara, Iowa Hudson Card, Purdue Jeff Sims, Nebraska Athan Kaliakmanis...

Big Ten QB Rankings: Brosmer #13

At this point it is what it is because the only way Max is going to change things is on the field. I suspect that if you heard any conversations with one of the expert "Analyst" off the air every sentence would end with "but that was in the FCS". So, if he starts with two really good games...

    Nebraska stands alone

Looking at the NEB schedule to start the season, it sure seems like the networks are determined to get NEB their national exposure. So, to start the season FOX places them in the prime 2:30 pm spot against powerhouse UTEP. I understand the matchup with PRIME in primetime for NBC, but what used...

    Kirk Ferentz commits recruiting violation

Exactly, I'm sure the Iowa fan forums are currently wild with why is Iowa the only one being targeted/persecuted for this type of thing. The real question they should ask is why is our staff one of the only ones stupid enough to do it in a way where you could get a violation enforced.

Meet the new Freshman - Tori & McKenna

Exactly, if it was properly managed and smart and reasonable rules were setup around the process and its administration. Thanks NCAA.

Meet the new Freshman - Tori & McKenna

It's a new year with some new faces as Tori & McKenna join the team. Plus it's nice to see the ladies have a little NIL going on.

More offseason competition than ever bolsters Gophers' depth

Agreed, I hear you. I didn't notice it myself, but I guess if you look closely at the site there's an asterisk that cites a lot of the content comes from articles from Ryan Burns. I assume that these articles are behind the paywall for Gopher Illustrated so many haven't seen them. Just like...

More offseason competition than ever bolsters Gophers' depth

Actually, there is no confusion/questions about the move to guard for Carroll. You can forward to 18:05 in the video to hear his comments.

The 2024 Gophers football season will be a success if?...

If Max Brosmer exceeds Tanner's 321 passing attempts and the completion percentage of 65.7% that he achieved in the 2019 season. If Max surpasses those totals at season's end I suspect it will have been a very good season in Gopher country.

First major hurdle - Rutgers football loses star linebacker Mohamed Toure with torn ACL

Agreed, he lost the entire 2022 season with a torn ACL as well. All that work and talent and he is likely seeing his draft status go backward with with those types of injuries.

First major hurdle - Rutgers football loses star linebacker Mohamed Toure with torn ACL

It will be interesting to see what kind of depth Rutgers has to manage this. It's basically the equivalent of us losing Cody for the year as Toure is on a lot of the same watchlists as Cody...

Stewart Mandel has the Gophers finishing 5-7 overall.

Sorry, I might have been better off not seeing this list as for the most part it's pretty depressing as all of this essentially took place since 1960. When you start reviewing the TD/INT ratio and then combine it with Completion % how could we not get better results? You would think with dumb...
