The Big 10/18: How Will It Shake Out?

There's also the other side of the coin: hoping for an influx of skilled, experienced players. That (and the coaching change) is what has me excited for Michigan this upcoming season.

SI: Way too early 2024-25 Big Ten men's basketball power rankings (15. Minnesota)

As a Michigan fan, this is not far off on why I am hopeful this year. It doesn't hurt to have some quality with the quantity, though. As to the thread topic, all these player transfers make this year's predictions even more prone to error than usual. I think it's the Athletic that even has...

Minnesota kids you really enjoyed watching

Will Tchetter. As a Michigan fan, I'm hopeful the new coaching staff can help him develop his defense. He was a good 3 pt shooter out of high school. Last year he was over 50% in 3 pt shooting, but he was a liability on defense. I think Howard wanted him big to bang inside, but he was a step...

Why does everyone make grades now?

I suspect what is happening at Wisconsin is similar to what happens at Michigan. There are the same entrance requirements as other schools. The issue is  transfer credits. Gen Ed courses transfer without problem. The issue comes with upper level Major courses. Such courses can easily transfer...

Why does everyone make grades now?

Retired college professor here. There's a simple answer: online courses. I live in OKC and listen to some of the local sports radio shows. One of them has coach Pat Jones as a regular commentator. A few years ago when the topic of online classes came up, Jones said something along the lines of...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT BUTLER NIT FIRST ROUND IN-GAME POST-SEASON BASKETBALL(!!!) THREAD!!!***

Not that it means anything but a bit of trivia that most people don't know, Crean is Jim and John Harbaugh's brother-in-law.

    Who's Your Side Show Bob's?

Good and interesting topic. He might appear in too many episodes to fit the criteria laid out by the OP (about one in every three), but I always enjoyed Suart Margolin's portrayal of Angel on The Rockford Files.

Gophers rumored to be paying $30,000 for Kramer to play in bowl game

Won't Kramer be surprised when he finds out he's going to be paid in Fleck bucks!

The NCAA has opened an investigation into No. 2 Michigan over possible rule-breaking around in-person scouting of opponents

Maybe so, but I'll take a coach who gives weird answers in press conferences all day long who wins games at a high level.

The NCAA has opened an investigation into No. 2 Michigan over possible rule-breaking around in-person scouting of opponents

There's also a provision that allows 3rd parties to be hired to scout opponents. Obviously what this Stalions guy did went beyond that.

The NCAA has opened an investigation into No. 2 Michigan over possible rule-breaking around in-person scouting of opponents

Connor Stalions in one weird dude. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the spectrum. He seems to have pulled this spying off without anyone else on the staff knowing. His mother is a big Michigan fan and seems to have indulged him since he was little and probably helped him finance the whole...

I asked a Michigan reporter six questions.

I'm guessing the only Michigan fans who care about the Little Brown Jug are old timers like me. Also, I look at the one-sidedness of the game the past 55 year in a similar vein as Michigan's struggles with OSU the past 20 years where the losing team would have won at least a few games were it...

2 Keys to Win v Michigan

Do that, and Michigan will have to be sure to bring their own jug of Gatorade to games.

2 Keys to Win v Michigan

Focus on the pass for offense and stack the box to slow down Michigan's running game on defense. Michigan has one of the top D-lines in college football, and nobody has been able to run consistently against them. Based on PFF scores so far this season, Michigan has the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th...

Iowa's McNamara likely out for season with leg injury suffered on Saturday

Maybe that have a limit of one geezer and DeNardo already fills that slot.

Iowa's McNamara likely out for season with leg injury suffered on Saturday

It really sucks that he was injured. But of all the places to transfer to, why would any player on offense (except maybe a TE) transfer to a team with Brian Ferentz as OC?
