Cool event in Byron / Casey O’Obrien

Agree. This is not the Byron that my mom grew up in.

How would you try and beat USC?

Back in the 1970's or early '80's a high school team in SE Minn (Chatfield?) used 12 men on defense for an entire game. Neither the refs or coaches noticed it until the offending team's coach watched the films early the next week. The joke was that the team still lost with 12 on D!

Why can’t we run the ball?

    1) IMHO center is probably the most important position on the OL, at least in terms or making line calls, et. 2) as I have written elsewhere, I don't think that Taylor is at 100% my 2 cents

Big Ten to modify officiating on onside kicks.

I was thinking the same thing, but we will never know.

Big Ten to modify officiating on onside kicks.

I'm not blaming the loss on the refs. Who knows what would have happened in the next few plays. There is no guarantee that we would have made a field goal or scored a TD. But at that point in the game, to make a questionable call, which denys the players a chance to determine the winner on the...

Big Ten to modify officiating on onside kicks.

And who would have thought that it would be us to get screwed? So, this is The BIG10's new way of sending an apology letter, by making it appear that they are actually doing us a favor? Thanks BIG10, no harm no foul, we get it. I have said for a long time that if we are going to beat Michigan or...

    A huge concern

My untrained eye says that Taylor is still not 100%. But yeah, the OL needs to step it up.

    MINN/MICH Betting

I bet Michigan too, but I went Moneyline. I won, but did not make much.

I was at that game. My blood pressure did not return to normal for about a week.

All Things 2024 College Football D2 and D3 Thread

I have wondered about this myself. I went to Luther College in the late 1970's and I think that there was one guy on the team who could possibly have played at the DI level. He was a linebacker, but IMHO he did not like football enough to follow the regimen (weightlifting, position meetings...

It appears an undefeated college football team ranked in the top 30 of the AP Poll just lost its starting quarterback ... because of an NIL dispute.

Odom has been lucky or very good at finding QBs when in a pinch. The Rebs play Friday night and there has been a nascent effort to have a sellout (vs. Syracuse). I doubt that will happen, but it will still be one of the bigger paydays the UNLV athletic dept has had in a while. Rebels! Rebels!

It was a while ago. It was Mowens who made the comment, "there is no way Minnesota is going to get a call." She was and is correct.

Now that I think about it, it might have been Brent Musberger.

UNLV might have to open the upper deck of Allegiant in subsequent games if they keep winning. I have tix to the Boise & San Diego St games. Go Rebs!

I am not a conspiracy theory guy but..,

Agree. I have written this a couple of times. There is no conspiracy against the Gophers. But in close games vs. Ohio St or Michigan, when a critical, 50/50 call has to be made, we get the short end of the deal. Count on it. I remember a tight game was vs Michigan a few years ago, Beth Mowens...

Describe Gophers Michigan game in 1 sentence

There is no conspiracy vs. the Gophers by BIG10 officials, but at critical points in tight games vs. Michigan or Ohio State we will NEVER get a call.
