    Jerry Kill

Kill was a dud. Brewster was a fraud and a dud. Brewster being the wrong hire doesn’t make Kill the right one. I am glad Kill is gone, wanted him gone sooner, and don’t find anything about his tenure or schtick compelling.

Post Game Thread: Minnesota Gives Up 600 Yards and 49 Points to Purdue

Cmon dog Jerry Kill ran his course and we needed to move on. I don’t get this hyper-fetish for his/Claeys aw shucks, Charlie Brown, gee whiz, pumpkin patch baloney. He tried it here and the Kill/Leidner era was a dud. Let it go.

Post Game Thread: Minnesota Gives Up 600 Yards and 49 Points to Purdue

How is it knee-jerk? This team has failed to win the weakest division in P5 for their entire existence. Fine try to beat WI but you got your ass kicked by pretty mediocre B1G teams and it’s another failed year. Absolutely pathetic.

Post Game Thread: Minnesota Gives Up 600 Yards and 49 Points to Purdue

Lol completely predictable again. MN incapable of wins when it matters. Another year of the exact same - some crappy wins, mostly major losses, Gophs unable to overcome any level of adversity or deficit. Got your ass kicked by a 2-7 squad. It wasn’t close. Got your ass absolutely kicked...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE BOUNCE BACK GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Lol this is again, just classic gophers. Getting absolutely drilled by a 2-7 Purdue team. This was entirely predictable based on the rest of the season and the general ethos of the MN program. Absolutely destroyed by a 2-7 team. Game was never close after the first touchdown. What a clown show...

    Having a star QB ......

There were only 10-12 QBs that class that year that completed enough drills to get an “athleticism” score. So he was about avg for overall scoring. And he is not “quick” relative to all NFL QBs. Overall I would say I watched those teams and it was predictable and ineffective running. His...

    Having a star QB ......

I am not an advocate for AK. His numbers aren’t compelling. I watched the Mitch/Kill/Claeys era and the QB play was incredibly unimpressive. He carried the ball way too often for a poor runner. He had a lot of yards and TDs because they would have him carry it all the time, to the detriment of...

    Having a star QB ......

His YPC against B1G teams was very bad and always came up short when it mattered. He was a garbage runner.

Time to be honest with ourselves...

This is a program problem, not a Fleck problem. Partly because of our Uber-conservative approach which doesn’t usually create big leads to blow. But you can certainly agree we have decades of blowing leads and decades of not overcoming deficits (of any size).

Time to be honest with ourselves...

I would agree people get too lathered up. But you have to acknowledge that the Gophers futility - the extreme losing streaks to our primary rivals, the completely predictable and consistent blowing of significant leads, the absolute inability to overcome even minor deficits, the inability to...

    Having a star QB ......

Mitch was a garbage runner. Stop thinking he was capable. Dude ran like a 5.0 40 at the combine. That is really bad. And it showed every time he ran against B1G teams - terrible YPC, and never successful in clutch situations. Whatever about Athan. But it was really sad watching Leidner play...

What are your Top 4 Worst Losses under Fleck?

And because of this consistency of failure and loserdom, you have general student, alumni, and market apathy. No matter what opportunity exists, or who the opponent is, the Gophers have found ways to make sure they are irrelevant for the B1G. And they have been boring to boot - completely...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Have Massive Meltdown Again, Fall to 0-10 to Bielema, Fail Again With BTW In Grasp

Perfect thread title. Program of futility. Losers that year after year, declare after decade endeavor to lose in ways beyond any probability.

***OFFICIAL ILLINOIS AT MINNESOTA WE NEED TO BEAT BB IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Because we always do. We refuse to take advantage of what has been a garbage division for years.

Chip: Looking at Gophers football stats: They rank 7th nationally in time of possession and 108th in scoring. That seems darn near impossible to do.

My takeaway on TOP and lack of scoring is that these stats continue to emphasize how non-explosive the Gophers have been (this season and for a long time). It pairs well with the thread on how we are completely unable to recover from even small deficits (like even being 7 points down at any...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA JUST FIND A WAY TO WIN THIS GAME THREAD!!!***

Lol this is classic Gophers. Yakkety-sax hilarity on every play. What an absolute embarrassment. There are no winners in this game.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA JUST FIND A WAY TO WIN THIS GAME THREAD!!!***

Should always assume this will be reality. it has proven true for decades. No matter how bad the opponent, the Gophs will endeavor to be an absolute cartoon of buffoonery if the game matters in the slightest.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT IOWA JUST FIND A WAY TO WIN THIS GAME THREAD!!!***

Lol this is absolutely classic Gophers. Completely predictable. Somehow always worse than an absolutely garbage team. 3-6 for 8 yards passing. One sack on A terrible, non-mobile, backup QB (and no pressure when it matters) This game is the perfect summary of what Gophs football has been the...
