Gophers' Tyler Nubin viewed as potential 2024 first-round pick

Is Crooms that good? That would be something considering he might only be the 4th best receiver on the roster.

    Jack Wilson commits

Is that really a thing? I would have assumed you either have college eligibility or you don’t, and that sport doesn’t matter.

Would be an interesting get. Looks like he could be a potential starter at the 3 for us. The poor FT shooting and 3pt% from two years ago are kind of concerning tho

    David Kemp Commits to Gophers!!

7 for 9 on extra points isn’t super encouraging. But he’s young and a walk-on so no risk.

Gophers in N Alabama transfer Daniel Ortiz top 6

He hasn’t had any sort of depth to play. I don’t think we’ve seen any reason he won’t play 9 guys if he has 9 that deserve playing time

Gophers in N Alabama transfer Daniel Ortiz top 6

Mitchell should be better than Cooper. Ortiz would be better than Henley. Anything positive from Fox/Ihnen is improvement over Samuels/Thompson. Losing Battle might hurt but he was pretty underwhelming last year, so maybe Christie/Betts/Transfer wing can fill that void. Team wouldn’t be great...

That might work for lower level recruits, but a top 100 player might have 10+ decent schools after them. I think it’d be pretty easy to say you’ll only sign a 1 year deal and the school will agree.

Why would a recruit ever sign more than a 1 year contract?

    Mitchell commits!!

And for what it’s worth they have Cooper at 23rd.

Looking at stats and highlights it seems like he would be a Cooper replacement. Better shooter, probably worse passer, seems similar athletically. Wouldn’t be a bad get, although we would still need to find a guard that can penetrate.

***OFFICIAL PENN STATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That was an awful lineup. Why play 2 useless offensive players with Battle and Cooper on the bench?

Nice dribbling by Carrington! Good to see he has that in his bag

I hate how this team wastes 15 seconds of the shot clock some possessions. Doesn’t leave them time to get a good look.

    How to measure success

I’d like to see us become good at at least one facet of the game. It’s hard to be excited about the team when there isn’t a single thing they do well.

Anything positive you can think of?

Henley seems like the type of guy who should be able to provide a spark off the bench. I know he isn’t very good now, but the rest of the team sucks too, so I don’t see the harm in giving him that role to learn/improve.

    Ben Johnson is a Disaster

You think the two incoming freshman will fix this team? You think any legit transfers are gonna want to come to Minnesota after watching games like this? And you’re assuming our freshman are gonna stick around for 2 years of sucking to hope the team can compete their 3rd year.

And two of them were the first shot of a 1 and 1. Makes it even worse
