Do Bemidji and Moorhead consider themselves big time rivals nowadays?

St. John's is the better team but it has a LOT harder matchup this week against UW La Crosse. That's a coin flip opponent. Bethel should crush Lake Forest by 4-5 TDs. Not sure how Lake Forest ended up with a first round bye. Their conference, The Midwest Conference, is one of the weakest in D3...

    FCS Set

I'm guessing most schools with student enrollment over 10,000 and good football programs have moved on to FBS if there's a viable conference in their geography. The schools in the OP are on the bubble but the geography isn't appealing for FBS. It also makes you wonder why Mankato is still D2...

    Badgers fire their OC

Probably a different thread... but I might favor the Buckeyes in a rematch with the Ducks on a neutral field.

    Shadeur Sanders

I've heard Hunter is a straight A type student and very focused. It's his slender stature, not personality, that might impact his possible NFL career.

Flagstaff is at 7,000 feet and gets winter weather. Great place to visit IMO.

It looks like McConnell only got a handful of snaps for Vandy but struggled per PFF. Regardless, the Gophs need to do something at center. What happened there this year can't continue.

Cooper and Carroll were serviceable. Mid-pack in the conference. They weren't the main issue. The center was maybe the worst in the conference. Fleck might need to go to the portal and move Johnson over to guard or get him coached up; I believe it was his first year at center.

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in loss to PSU?

    B. Would have been an A except for inexcusably not having the punt return team ready for a fake when the team absolutely had to get the ball back to win.

I thought the prognosticators were full of shit and only going on the bad 2023 record caused from tons of key injuries and bad QB play. I thought this year would be better, and once I saw the talent level on the field, I had high hopes for a 9+ win season. However, the team kept finding ways to...

You are what your record is. That means Rutgers is below average (for a Power 4 team).

That 4-game stretch was the anomaly. The Gophs have a losing record against Power 4 teams. To me, this season is a disappointment given the talent and that the team has been relatively healthy compared to the past three years. Lost to a good PSU team. Lost to an above average (barely) Iowa...

Post Game Thread: Gophers lose heartbreaker to PSU

Losses the past two weeks have unfortunately pushed the Gophs back down into another nasty toilet bowl. Take a look at the standings.

This year was so close, but too many key mistakes at key times in multiple games. This year's Gopher squad is a better version of Frost's Husker teams that always had good talent but consistently made key mistakes. I used to equate Fleck teams with making few mistakes, but the last two years...

Describe the loss to Penn St in 1 sentence

Two turnovers, and a fake punt which is essentially a turnover, sucks ass.

It's hard for me to blame it on the O when they put up 25 points versus one of the best defenses in the country. The game was essentially over at the 6 minute mark because the defense couldn't get the ball back to the offense.

Post Game Thread: Gophers lose heartbreaker to PSU

The more I dwell on the PSU's last drive, the more pissed off I get. You gotta figure out how to get the ball back even if you let them score. The whole reason to kick the FG with 6 minutes left is it keeps the game within a 1-score game. It's impossible to win without the getting the ball back...

This bad loss might spill over to next week. I hope not. I call it a bad loss because the Gophs win this game without a handful of dumbass mistakes. I still can't believe they never got the ball back with almost 6 minutes on the clock.

***OFFICIAL PENN ST AT MINNESOTA BATTLE FOR THE COVETED GOVERNORS VICTORY BELL IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Lost the turnover game 0-2. Of all the other things to bitch about, it would have been a miracle to beat the #4 team in the county with that metric.
