Young man doesn't seem to get rattled. He doesn't try to hero ball it. Glad he is at the helm. Solid QB.

POST GAME THREAD: GOPHERS BEAT USC!!!

Awesome atmosphere at the game. People stayed through the whole damn thing. It was electric in the stadium. Damn happy for those players after getting jobbed at Michigan last week. Btw - Koi Perich is good at football.

Maybe we can field a punter that isn't a few years away from an AARP card.

It would have worked if the defense all ran to the other side of the field. Or 5 guys missed a tackle.

Yes, they are both redshirting. This was known and planned. They have a loaded incoming recruit class next year to go along with all the young talent this year. Take the very noticeable team chemistry improvement from a year ago and toss even more talent into that mix. Future is bright, and the...

It appears an undefeated college football team ranked in the top 30 of the AP Poll just lost its starting quarterback ... because of an NIL dispute.

This seems quite plausible. I'd even go so far as to suggest it is the leading theory. "I'm better than expected." Try the extortion route. Quit if it fails. With contracts, this all but shuts this garbage down. Brock Purdy is on a rookie deal. If he decides to up and quit playing for the...

Pay them a salary. That can have a salary cap. NIL can be what it was intended to be - players profiting from doing promos and whatever hell else they do with their likeness that is outside their normal salary. The problem is calling this garbage NIL, because it isn't NIL. It is unregulated...

Can you get any semblance of a spiral on your kicks? If you can, this has potential. Or were you planning the 41 yard end over end variety??

Plus there are mechanisms in place to handle breach of contract situations. A pro player can't just quit a team without incurring penalties, fines and potentially the ability to go elsewhere. This has got to be the dumbest setup in all of pro / semi-pro sports, and the NCAA has only themselves...

If CFB does not get this under control, they are going to destroy their product. Have universities pay the athletes directly, implement a salary cap, and be done with it already. Draft high school players.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this is how you know Fleck needs to go

I couldn't remember the last time we beat them at home. Now I know why. It's been a decade FFS.

PJ Fleck: 'Don't Give Up on this Team'

I'll believe it when I see it. I've more or less given up. Would be happy to be proven wrong. Correction - I'd be ecstatic.
