I can’t quite recall but didn’t KSU get some kind of punishment for tampering with Ky Thomas?

Supposedly he wanted to play closer to home. Yeah they’ll be fine, but it just feels like a base hit or maybe a double, not a home run. Doesn’t feel like a “those who stay will be champions” type acquisition.

Not sure I’d call it a great season, they only won like three games I think. He did okay for a true freshman.

You never know, you do see guys enter the portal and not end up leaving. Probably 95% chance he is gone, but sliver of optimism since he didn’t insta commit somewhere yet like many do.

I don’t think it’s really misleading. Yes it doesn’t give you the full picture of the roster, but they rank what you bring in, just like with high school recruiting, they don’t say yeah but look at who is leaving early and graduating.

Most P4 teams would take him in a heartbeat, including most SEC teams. Not saying he’d start, but he’d be a great add for most teams. Tough to find experienced p4 olinemen in the portal.

I’m saying he’s not supposed to know an OSU offer would be available. So it’s pretty risky to gamble a starting gig for a maybe offer from someone closer to home.

Why would you just compare Daniels to Turner? Obviously overall the incoming transfers offer far more value then the guys leaving via the portal, on paper anyways.

All I’d say is it would be tough to gamble blindly on giving up a P4 starting spot.

We have no idea what these kids are being offered for NIL, we do know they all are stepping into pretty good opportunities to play at the p4 level.

I dunno, everyone jumps to money or playing time, and in this case I think we can rule out playing time. But there’s plenty of other unknown factors that could have caused him to transfer other than money. I don’t think it’s right to just assume he’s chasing dollars without some kind of clue...

I knew a playoff wouldn’t keep players from opting transferring/opting out. Pretty big gamble to play multiple playoff games instead of just one bowl game if you’re a potential top pick.
