    IAOW

Have a brother who lives in Iowa and I get an ear full every time I talk to him (much to my dislike). The word down in Iowa is they believe their defense will be very very good again ——a lot of studs coming back—along with their real good punter and kicker. If their offense is much improved due...

Mike Farrell: The Coach Debate: Kirk Ferentz vs. PJ Fleck (hard to deny that Fleck is the better coach at this moment in time)

Does this Farrell guy know what the Ferentz teams have done to Gophers the last 8 years—how about over the last 12-13 years. All that counts is wins/losses and by that metric Ferentz is light years better than Fleck

    Iowa DB DeJean

Let’s hope that’s not about to change—could be a bad thing with their defense

I sure hope we can finally beat them next year for a change!

    K Two very good defenses

    2022-2023 Other Bowl Games Thread

What else are they suppose to do —they can’t run it against Iowa’s defense

    Nebby pounding Iowa

Well—my brother who lives in Iowa and is a big time Hawkeye fan ( the guy that I get a boat load of shi-from every time we play them) disagrees with you all the way —and I do as well. Cooper DeJean —a sophomore has 4 interceptions—plays a nasty CB position —is all over the field. If he would...

    Nebby pounding Iowa

Once Iowa lost their best defensive player and their quarterback it was game over—you could tell they weren’t going to recover

    How To Judge a Season

I am a realist and do not want to settle for mediocracy. Not a slant toward you —just don’t see how being 7-6 and losing to the teams we have can be construed as being successful

    How To Judge a Season

Well yes—it would indeed change my perception. If we were 7-6 and beaten the likes of Penn State/Illinois/and Purdue and lost to much lesser teams -I would at least have the perception that we are a very quality team but screwed up tremendously in the losses. Losing to all the teams we have lost...

    How To Judge a Season

If the Gophers finish 7-6 I can’t see how anyone could call that a fine season. That would mean not beating a single team with a winning record—that is not fine in the reality that I live in. Now beating the Badgers for the axe and than winning a bowl game convincingly would qualify as a fine...

Post Game Comments from Fleck on KFAN

Yes PJ—you did out play them in the running game! Did you out play them in: Takeaways Field goals Passing game Punting Final score I don’t think so PJ! Have any more excuses ??

SOUND OFF! Post-Game Thread: Gophers Lose Heartbreaker to Hawkeyes, Again, Fleck Remains Winless vs Iowa.

I can’t believe it —lost $ again on this game! I’m beginning to think that as long as Ferentz is Iowa’s coach the Gophers will never beat them. Next year in I.C. —terrible. The Gophers had this game and crapped the bed !!!! 8 years in a row!

For the record: Rate the 2022 Hawkeyes

To be honest —just from what I have seen Defense—elite Special teams—elite Offense —beyond terrible

    The Matchup With Iowa

Iowa’s kicker is a freshman —missed 2 so far this year —long of 54

    2023 Schedule out Tomorrow

Hope for 4 to 5 wins next year —brutal schedule

Our 5 remaining games are all very winnable

Before looking up some stats I was in total agreement with you—Iowas offense is total trash —but their other side of the ball is “truly elite”
