Neither could JOJ or Ihnen. Also Carrington is a guard, Betts is a forward. He was competing more with JOJ, Ihnen, Garcia, Payne, and Fox for minutes. Not really that concerning at all. Carrington had to play as the team only had 4 guards on the roster last year.

I suppose if you enter the portal a commitment is only verbal until you actually enroll in the next school. If he hasn't enrolled at FAU he may technically still be in the portal.

Betts' year is next year when Garcia and Fox are gone. I can see him getting more minutes in non conference this season, but I also expect him to be cut from the rotation come conference season. I hope he sticks around and becomes a productive player as an upperclassman.

With this signing Ben will have arguably his deepest team to date. Now that recruiting is over, time to coach and get these guys playing great team basketball. November can't come soon enough!
