***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT UCLA AT ROSE BOWL STADIUM IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

...and Iowa. That was a stinker for the gophers.

Tyler Cochran out until early December

I doubt it. Garcia's always good for a 2-week stint on the bench.

    "Simulating brandishing a weapon" penalty

Agree if Walley was simulating brandishing a gun, he or any other gopher shouldn't do it during a fb game or any other time. The over-the-top celebrating seems to take after PJF.

Big Ten to modify officiating on onside kicks.

How about calling penalties already part of the rulebook. Clutching, grabbing, holding ect...occurs multiple times on every play. Then the referees call the penalty when they decide it's a worthy situation. The gophers are guilty as all teams are. CFB needs to raise their expectations of...

Does Fleck need to fire OC Harbaugh?

If Coyle/Fleck fired, might as well include CBJ. CBJ's already on the hot-seat and hasn't lost a game this season.

Describe the Gophers loss to Iowa in 1 sentence

It's not Fleck/Gophers fault we couldn't score in the 2nd half; Iowa kept holding onto the ball. 🤣

Shooter: A little birdie says junior Pharrell Payne gets a check for $10,000 every Friday; Hawkins getting $400K

By agreeing with NIL and the $ the athletes receive the presidents, ad's and coaches justify their own outrageous compensation. If the highly paid presidents, ad's and coaches disagree/criticize NIL they open themselves to criticism, which regardless of NIL they deserve.

Shooter: A little birdie says junior Pharrell Payne gets a check for $10,000 every Friday; Hawkins getting $400K

My 37 years of 2 season tickets would pay for 2 months of Payne's NIL. Payne is no McHale, Thompson, Tucker Jackson etc... Sadly, there's not enough money in MN BB sphere to support paying a Hawkins/Payne group of players that are lower-middle b10 talent much less moving to upper-middle b10...

Shooter: Buzz about a remodel of Williams Arena could diminish now that the Gophers athletics department could end up having to budget some $22MM

I see your side and do like amenities when available. Adding the alcoholic beverages and better food selection was welcomed and the scoreboard's been upgraded several times. The front entrance improvement was good too. As far as the games though, amenities are important when NOT winning...

Shooter: Buzz about a remodel of Williams Arena could diminish now that the Gophers athletics department could end up having to budget some $22MM

Had season tickets for 3+ decades. There have been changes to the physical building, including 2000 less seats and the gophers bench moving to the other end of the court (annoying due to my seat location). After all those years, money and time watching I never cared one-way or another about...

STrib: Gophers AD Mark Coyle says department might need a GM role to oversee ‘cap management’

Ultimately, Coyle's responsible for winning which leads to ticket and advertising revenue. Fortunately, the UoM is in the B10 and receives the windfall of the b10 tv revenue. Coyle has nothing to do with the majority revenue source. About half of football and basketball games are pre-season...

What grade would you give the 2024 Gophers basketball non-conference schedule?

All Things Gophers 2024-25 Schedule Updates

Season ticket holders shouldn't have to pay for tickets until the pre-season schedule is confirmed. Or possibly opt out of the entire pre-season. Can't do anything about the b10 schedule... In reality season ticket holders are paying 2x the price for 9 b10 home games. For pre-season games...

What grade would you give the 2024 Gophers basketball non-conference schedule?

F...Hard to believe 2 years in a row with the easiest non-con schedule. It not only impacts NCAA tournament selections but for season ticket holders it's a rip-off.

    Gabe Kalscheur

what does it matter...he's not getting a contract and the wolves are NOT interested in having him on the roster. They want bodies.

    Cam Christie to the Clippers

Even though a better draft position than Cam, Oturu played in only 33 nba games totaling < 100 minutes and < 50 points. If he got the total $ 3mm, good for him. Even though Cam was drafted there's no guaranteed contracts. He'd have to work in a regular job for 20+ years to make what a NBA...

Here’s the list of the CBB programs with the most NBA champions to have played in at least 1 postseason game (Tied for 7th: Minnesota, 9)

Sure...bring up ancient history of how dominant you think the gopher bb program was based on the # of ex-players winning NBA championships compared to how inept the program's been since the Haskins was fired. The tread was about how dominant the gopher bb program was based on a few players 30+...

Here’s the list of the CBB programs with the most NBA champions to have played in at least 1 postseason game (Tied for 7th: Minnesota, 9)

How many NBA draftees from the gophers since 2000? Humphries and Oturu. Oturu lasted 33 games. Badgers had 6 and 5 in the first round.
