    This isn't going as planned

I'm fine with being awful next season as long as the following two things are true: 1. The team consistently plays smart, team basketball with a lot of effort 2. We get a really promising 2022 class Both of those two things are very much still possible. Having a terrible record in year 1 does...

I hope this isn't because Sterling Manley told us he isn't coming here.

Anyone know why Braeden Carrington isn't rated at all? Have scouts really not seen him play even though he has multiple high major offers? I'm hoping we get him, so not questioning his ability, just odd that he hasn't even been evaluated.

Do you think that Lee is overrated, or is Payne just really good?

There are a few people on this board who decided shortly after hiring Ben that it was a failure, so they seem to be looking for reasons to validate that opinion. That’s why they’re so eager to talk about 2022 recruiting not going well even though our top targets in the class from the very...

Mitchell might be waiting to see if we get a commit from a big guy first because he doesn't want to play the 5.

Holloman, Lee, Watson, and Carrington seem to be the top priorities of the MN players. All would be phenomenal gets and are realistic, though that doesn't necessarily mean it's a failure if we miss one. Ben is allowed to recruit players from other states too.

Not sure, but this has been the expectation for a long time.

Who is saying it's unrealistic to land top 2022 guys? People have said/implied that about Cam specifically because the writing was on the wall that he was going to Purdue long before Ben was even hired, but landing good MN players in 2022 in general is definitely realistic. 2022 is just getting...

Like I said, there's some risk. But given the available scholarships, the desperate need at the position, and the fact that he appears to be healthy right now, it is easily worth it in my mind.

I'd take Manley in a heart beat. Somewhat risky, but we desperately need a big man and he has some talent. He was healthy enough to play at the Tampa Bay Pro Combine last week and recorded a 35 inch vertical at nearly 7 feet tall, so his knee must be doing okay.

I suppose her being proud doesn't necessarily mean she wants him to be a Gopher, but it's an encouraging tweet nonetheless. I like our chances.

Indiana State River College (JUCO) guard Abdoulaye Thiam commits to Minnesota

Hopefully under the radar because he was a JUCO kid. Clearly a good athlete and can shoot. I'm excited to see what he can do.

    Charlie Daniels Committed

All 13 scholarships need to be filled by starters who play 30 minutes per game for us, so I’m concerned about this addition.

Say it ain't so-Parker Fox out for season

A lot of players wouldn't, but I bet Fox would.
