Do you think we have a smaller chance now to go to the CFP then we had to win the Big Ten when it was actually ten teams? I'd say we have a better chance of going to the CFP than we did of winning the Big Ten back in the days of no divisions.

I don't think anyone "deregisters" from school. If you decided not to go... you just don't show up once the semester starts and don't pay your tuition. Or you just never register in the first place.

Pretty rare, almost non-existent, for a freshman to come in and be a leader on a Big Ten team. Maybe any college team. Impact player? That's possible certainly but rare enough itself. Impact player and a leader? That is asking an awful lot in my opinion. Almost impossible.

I might be in minority here, but I have never really cared at all about the non-revenue sports at U of MN. That does not mean I think the athletes work any less in rowing than they do in football, or that I don't respect their abilities. But the university does not owe it to anyone to maintain...

Well, I like playing pond hockey a lot. I kind of like the outdoor high school hockey on Hockey Day in MN too. As for college/pro games outside? Overdone and overrated. Crummy ice. Bad sight lines. Usually really uncomfortable for fans.
