    "Simulating brandishing a weapon" penalty

Take it to the political thread. Nobody here is saying the rule is wrong just that it was misapplied here.

Why can’t we run the ball?

I agree. Taylor looks like the explosiveness is gone. And tentative. I don't remember him slowing down to brace for contact, but it sure looks like that this year.

    Going beyond "ack acka dack"...

Absolutely. The Gopherhole tradition of trashing former players and coaches as a way of proving your loyalty to the current players and coaches is absolutely idiotic.

Is it time to admit PJ (and staff) can coach?

Exactly. The 99-1 horse I always bet on at Canterbury is always ahead for the first quarter lap.

Johnson on walk-on Lincoln Meister: "He’s made guys better because he’s long, he’s crafty, he’s a better athlete than you think. He’s pretty skilled.”

My roommate 20 years ago was a D2 All-American. 6’9. Too bad for our guy that everyone has gotten shorter.

Is it time to admit PJ (and staff) can coach?

STPGopher and his “if only true first half hadn’t been played” tied my Badger fan neighbor fan’s “if only the 2nd half have been played.” For both it sucks that that the game has absolutely never been played that way.

    How's Koi doing?

I thought he looked like he had a muscle pull at the end of that punt return, but he played afterward so maybe not. Kid is electric

Was Tommyboy there drunk as a skunk, loudly booing the SJU QB?

Is it time to admit PJ (and staff) can coach?

They played tough when it looked like they might turtle and that deserves some respect, but only on Gopher(PJ)hole could there be victory laps when you fall to 2-3 against a team that probably is a 7 or 8 win team. Good grief.

Johnson on walk-on Lincoln Meister: "He’s made guys better because he’s long, he’s crafty, he’s a better athlete than you think. He’s pretty skilled.”

Absolutely. What an odd thing to say. Some pretty good big men in D-2. And Johnson says the reason he didn’t play much is because no one was as tall as him? Another eye roller from our leader.

    Gopher QB

The problem is the routes and partially the WR’s. I don’t know how many times in the 2nd half against Iowa it was the simple 7 yard button hook and the Iowa DB was standing right next to our receiver. It doesn’t matter if you are Max, AK, or Morgan. Decent defenses do not have a hard time...

    Gopher QB

It was more fun a few weeks ago when the Gopherhole brain trust was making fun of AK as the root of all our offensive struggles. There is a reason Gopherhole is known as the place to go for advanced football knowledge.

Lots of negativity on this board for a team that should be 3-1

It just sounds so dumb around the watercolor talking to other teams fans saying we should be 3-1 or should be 4-0. Yeah Remember Murray and Otis count should be wins the same as real wins but it stinks that nobody else does.

It appears an undefeated college football team ranked in the top 30 of the AP Poll just lost its starting quarterback ... because of an NIL dispute.

I am skeptical. He has played well and the team is unexpectedly undefeated so in that context the 100k makes sense now. But in the context of the 32nd ranked QB that was not even guaranteed to win the job, it seems less likely. It also sounds like it is increasingly popular for the deals to be...

The NCAA is hamstrung by the courts, undercut by the schools that formed it and mocked by the kids they tried to help. What are they suppose to do?

It appears an undefeated college football team ranked in the top 30 of the AP Poll just lost its starting quarterback ... because of an NIL dispute.

This point has been argued over and over, but the claims of the millions being made off of players doesn't stand up to scrutiny. A few generated millions of dollars and most of the money at most of the schools went to supplement non-revenue sports. But either way that isn't really what this...

It appears an undefeated college football team ranked in the top 30 of the AP Poll just lost its starting quarterback ... because of an NIL dispute.

I think it is because sports or especially college sports encompasses something more than another job. Loyalty, competitiveness, team camaraderie. Maybe that is all BS, but the old system at least gave the illusion of this.

The UNLV sports collective said they put every one of their deals in writing. Maybe an asst. coach offered 100k but I am dubious. He was the 32nd ranked QB in the portal. Seems like a lot of a mid level QB. And why didn’t he get this in writing? It sounds like everyone else is.
