Payne didn't have a long offer list and I think everyone thinks he's going to be great. Johnson seems to know which recruits he wants in-state. I trust his evaluations. And I have to say, he is getting Minnesota recruits every single year.
Let's hope they don't and players learn to appreciate what they have. The only way to stop this craziness is for it to not work out well for lots of the players.
Considering Mitchell is rated as a 92 transfer and Cooper is rated 89 (you can agree or disagree with the ratings but without head to head play it's what we have) I think it's a bit harsh to say Johnson got an F. We needed point guards and we got 2. Some aren't disappointed about losing...
We lose: Jamison Battle, Jaden Henley, Treyton Thompson, Ta'lon Cooper, Taurus Samuels
We gain: Mike Mitchell Jr. , Cameron Christie, Kadyn Betts, Elijah Hawkins, Isiah Ihnen, Parker Fox, Jack Wilson, Erick Reader
What we gain is much better than...
So glad we have two point guards. When a team only has one and he gets injured the team is screwed. It's just too important of a position to only have one guy. Now let's hope Ben fills the last position and doesn't decide he has enough guys.
Ihnen, Payne, Mitchell, Garcia, Ola-Joseph, Christie, Fox, Betts, Wilson, Ramburg, Carrington. They are going to add two more and yes Ramberg will get a scholarship. Ben hates having too many players because he doesn't feel he can keep them all happy. If there is one thing I dislike about Ben...

Minnesota's acceptance rate is 73.2%, Chicago is 6% and Northwestern is 9% Harvard's is 4%. Three of these schools are similiar and one doesn't belong in the same group.
Northwestern is so much better than the University. And it is more rigorous. And it is filled with students who are extremely bright. They don't give out academic merit scholarships despite costing a fortune because so many top kids are lining up to beg to be admitted. I'm in this business...
The hockey team won the Big 10, Fleck is doing better than any coach in my lifetime, the women's won hockey too. There are 3 money sports...basketball, football and hockey. We are doing well in two...I wouldn't say that's a failure. Especially when our football program, the flagship program...
Ihnen is a guard not a PF. Mitchell is a PG as is Cooper. In the portal Mitchell is a 92 and Cooper is an 89...their transfer ratings. It indeed was our guard play that weakened us. We've lost Henley, Cooper and Samuels. We gain Christie, Mitchell and Ihnen. I'd take the later 3 over the...
