Ezra: Firing Richard Pitino is Looking Like a Massive Mistake by Minnesota

I couldn't stand watching Pitino's game plans unfold. He was very inconsistent in getting players to improve. I like watching teams that play beyond their potential. Pitino's never seemed to do that and it drove me crazy. I was glad to see him move on. The jury is still out for me in...

***OFFICIAL FGCU VS MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Now I'd just like to see them string two solid halves together. Not playing 40 minutes is this team's biggest weakness. The other weakness is the turnovers which it seems they are addressing...

***OFFICIAL FGCU VS MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

A good team is a team that works together. All year we've had lots of assists coming from lots of different players. Now we have forced the last two teams to turnover the ball and we've reduced our own turnovers. If that holds we will be better. Last year we stunk at freethrows, rebounding...

***OFFICIAL NEBRASKA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That was a fun game to watch. For the first time, Johnson has the power that depth gives a coach. He benches Ola-Joseph in the 2nd half and then he comes out on fire. I was also sad to see our hardest working and best player Garcia go down but to see the others rally....Depth will enable...

What grade would you give the Gophers coaching in the embarrassing loss to Northwestern?

So many coaching errors but the shocking one is why not kick the 54 yard field goal to end it versus punt it. The field goal is likely over 50% of the time. If it misses they are on the 37. The likelihood that we will punt it and not have a touchback is also 50%. If it's a touchback it's...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Blow Horrendous Game to a HORRIBLE Northwestern Team

This post is so true. The one change I would love Fleck to make is to get rid of Wenger. Our Special Teams play is horrible and has been during the entire Fleck era. We are going to have horrible games once in awhile but our special teams has been out-played in all but perhaps one game during...

I don't think he is allowed to run forward unless it's the play..

***OFFICIAL NEBRASKA AT MINNESOTA SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Our special teams doesn't catch or return balls. They let them roll 20 years. Our defense is playing great...but we've put up with the most usless special teams coach for all these years during Fleck. Kill said special teams was 33% of the game. Fleck thinks it's 0% and we have been stuck...

    New Wing Commit: Kristupas Keinys

I am just thrilled that Coach Johnson filled the roster for once. We've lost so much because of a lack of depth in the last two years and not having a full roster is inexcusable. Also depth creates competition...

Marcus: Ihnen "could be cleared for full contact this summer"...Fox recovery "longer than expected...still optimistic he could be back next season."

Agree 100% and the worst of it is not recruiting 13 guys because he didn't think he could keep 13 guys happy. Injuries happen every year. First coach I've ever seen not recruit a full team.

Marcus: Ihnen "could be cleared for full contact this summer"...Fox recovery "longer than expected...still optimistic he could be back next season."

Once players have had 4 years of college scholarships I don't think coaches need to provide another year of scholarship just because they have a year or two of eligibilty left. I do believe they need to be loyal to the kids they recruited until they've had time to get their degree.
