The transfer portal is your excuse to act like a petulant child. Just like you did when Haskins' first players were freshmen & sophomores. When a new coach inherits an empty roster, he should still be given a chance to recruit & develop. Especially when his recruiting is improving.

I highly disagree. When a team is losing, everyone automatically says the coach is an idiot. 100% of the time. And when a team is winning, everyone says the coach is a genius. It's like magic. Every time.

What you don't understand is...college basketball is a 4-year-cycle of players...who start out as freshmen and then get better as they get older. Ben's job was to recruit. He shouldn't be blamed for the current state of Xavier's program that he inherited.

To me, good roster management is gearing-up for the future and trying to get good players at every position AT THE SAME TIME. Not bringing in transfers now who leave when our young players become good.

Yes, the posters on all the Gopher boards hated Carr. During a losing season, the coach & a few selected players are always scapegoated...regardless of the circumstances. I always liked Carr though.

You completely ignore that CBJ just recruited a 5-star here. And other good recruits. But you say he's terrible because Sean Miller is doing well. Brilliant !!

If our freshmen (Ben's first recruits) don't improve by the end of the year...then I will start getting concerned. But the conference season hasn't even started yet. I'm hopeful that the freshmen play well in the last 5 games of the regular season. And then next year we add even better recruits.
