Shama: What uw has achieved in basketball during the last 20-plus years is remarkable; what U coaches and administrators have done is embarrassing

This is the dumb shit I see on here that just makes no sense. You know why Wisconsin has had a better program? Their coaches had a vision for what they wanted to run, recruited to suit that vision and then developed players to execute their system. It's as simple as that. The rest of it is...

Did this warrant an ejection?? Gard sure thinks so....

If this happened to a Gopher, Spencer Tollackson would call for assault charges on the radio.

Official Brad Davison is a Tool Thread

The reality is that while Davison is fully responsible for his reputation, everything that people have tried to claim is a dirty play this year is just normal basketball stuff that's been twisted around because he's involved. Based on everything I read in this thread he has to have the body...

***OFFICIAL wisconsin AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Wahl, Hepburn and Crowl are going to be really, really good next year. If they get any development from Jordan Davis or Lorne Bowman they're going to be really good again.

Bilas: College basketballs officiating problem is getting worse; The competition is great and perhaps has never been better. But the officiating sucks

I've been on this train for a while, but reviews in every sport need to be overhauled. Officials should get thirty seconds to watch replays in regular speed to see if there is an obvious error. That catches the blatant mistakes for which replay was originally intended.

    MSU. NW.

Focusing on the (horrible) foul call on Northwestern in the final minute but not even acknowledging Davis getting clubbed in the face on a drive a minute earlier (which led to a turnover and a three) is certainly leaving some of the story out. The main takeaway should simply be that the...

Yeah, it'll be fun listening to those chants while Wisconsin is winning by 20.

    College Basketball 2021-2022 Thread

It's a lot harder to be efficient when you are 80% of a team's offense. He's the one required to take shots any time the shot clock is running down or when they really need a bucket, and that is going to have an impact on efficiency.

    Gopher Volleyball 2021-Fall Season

After watching Smrek tonight, I’m not sure they’re going to drop off too much. Oddly enough their biggest loss may not be Rettke, but rather Hilley.

    Gopher Volleyball 2021-Fall Season

Intellectually honest? You do realize that both Miyabe and Samedy would have been gone this year without the extra Covid year, right? Without them this Gopher team barely makes the tournament.

Ha. Didn't read to the end, but we're obviously on the same page.

Paul Chryst vs. PJ Fleck: Evaluating the extreme differences in personality

The problem is that if Fleck leaves Minnesota that brand goes with him, just like it did when he left Western Michigan. Which makes it HIS brand, not the program's.

    Volleyball Recruiting - 2023

    She's a 2022 recruit. Stella Swenson is a 2024.

    Fleck

Comparing college football in 2021 to 2003 is like comparing 2003 to 1960. The game has evolved so much in the past 15 years that it is impossible to win a national title if you don't have a dynamic offense. Impossible. So if the goal is to compete for division titles, a running game and good...

    Volleyball Recruiting - 2023

I can't imagine she doesn't have an offer. The club she plays at is basically a U pipeline and her sister was a four-year starter.

    Volleyball Recruiting - 2023

Correcting myself, the Swenson kid is a 2024 recruit, not 2023, unless she enrolls early.

    Volleyball Recruiting - 2023

I don't know anything about her, but SSS' little sister is a junior at Wayzata and is outstanding. Not quite at the level of Kennedy Orr, but really, really good. I find it hard to believe she won't be a Gopher but you never know.

Entering last 3 controlling own destiny

They were as high as 10 maybe? All I know is that they've given up 37 points in their last five games. That defense is really, really good.
