2014: Gophers lost a winnable game at Illinois. Next game, trounced Iowa
2021: Gophers bumbled against Bowling Green; responded with win on the road @ Purdue.
The thing that sucks about this one is it was a conference game, and we need to win all the conference games we can with the remaining...
I was extremely disappointed on Saturday night just as much as everyone else was, but my goodness....the last few days, I've read that:
Fleck has lost his hunger & desire (is mailing it in)
It's time for Coyle to hit the road & bring Fleck with him
The staff is focused on heading to Michigan...
Of all the madness on Saturday, this was the one that got to me. As frustrating as it can be, an 80 yard explosion can happen, as can 10-15 yard chunks.
That drive, it was big play, big play, touchdown!
They are & still do pregame events at Williams Arena entrance area I believe, but it's been years since I've gone.
The always energetic Bob Hughes kind of phased out his involvement & I haven't been too involved since. That guy & Jim Wacker are probably the two most positive individuals in the...
In the grand scheme of things, Fleck knows that his biggest goals this year are to beat Iowa (something he's had no success at) & beat Wisconsin (something he's been successful with to the point where us Gopher fans expect it & it's not even that big a deal anymore).
I will preface this by saying that I think they should have gone for it. I do think Fleck needs to start being a little more aggressive in certain situations. This was one that I think called for that.
But, I also don't find it a ridiculous decision to punt. 2nd half up to that point, the D...
I was there as well; seemed like EP was going to have a typical EP shove it down your throat performance when they got up 14-0, but credit to PL for tying it up. Then the usual EP 4-5 yards a play drive to take the lead, followed by the D stop & that was that.
Will be interesting to see when...
Answering my own question. Can probably rule out CBS.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-ten-on-cbs-2023-how-to-watch-live-stream-college-football-games-from-any-device-schedule/
They get 2 more Big Ten games, and lists 10/28 & 11/4 as noon games on CBS. Lead ins to whatever...
What's the SEC schedule like that week? I see Bama plays A&M, but that may not have as much luster as previously thought.
Chance it could be the CBS 2:30 game? Although Fox may have first pick....and Fox don't screw around when it comes to these things.
I thought he had something with Ted Roof.....and I did like Jeff Horton and if that was given more time, I think could have been OK. But yeah, just too much turnover.
2010 was probably my low point too.
That game: This wasn't even NDSU or SDSU. This was the 'Yotes.
Getting absolutely whipped by Jerry Kill's NIU team: I will confess that I was one of the last aboard the Fire Brew train as I'm not a fire the coach by nature guy, but this was the moment that I...
I enjoy it. It may be a little more chilled than some lots, but I don't mind that at this point in my life & I like the location. I enjoy the buzz in the air when people are walking down 4th St towards the stadium.
Sometimes, some of us choose not to tailgate every game & just use our paid space to park. I park in C58 in front of the Pavilion. Last year, there were some games where I was showing up in the 2nd quarter due to coming from kids' activities (i.e: their football games) & would come straight...
Plato, 1993-2022: "Running the ball, ball control, and game management win Big Ten football games!"
Plato, 2023: "Pitch & Catch, get athletes in space, that's college football....Luke Fickell & Hal Mumme for President!"
2015: I was almost chuckling at what I had just witnessed. In hindsight, all that loss really meant was not having the jug for a 2nd consecutive year & going to the Motor City Bowl legit rather than going with a sub .500 record & qualifying due to having a high APR....
2003.....I was not...
