We don’t have any clear cut stars like we had with Carr last year. But I like that there will be competition at each position. This was always a problem under Pitino.

Did he leave initially because of issues with Pitino or something? I’m not upset about this, I’ve just never seen a player transfer out and then back in.

I’m just saying he got Trace Jackson Davis and now Race to stay, those are big wins for him. So far Ben has likely lost Robbins and may lose Gabe plus a ton of others who I care less about. This isn’t to say Ben won’t replace them or convince them to stay, but it is a notable contrast so far.

I am a fan of Gabe, but I think it is telling that he is looking at Wisconsin, LA Tech and Georgia. He’s a low end starter or bench player on a good team and there is nothing wrong with that.

The real question with Carr is whether some of the hero ball and bad shots is because he played with inferior talent and had to do it, or if that is the only way he knows how to play. Going to a program like Kentucky would help him prove he can fit into a team with talent since he won’t be good...

Perhaps I’m reading too much into this, but I noticed that Ihnen lists himself as a small forward on Twitter. I wonder if that’s something he discussed with Johnson, since he played the four most of last year this could potentially affect roster construction.

So I know people on this board debate how good Gabe is all the time, but at some point do we just get concerned about filling out a roster with competent players? We have half a roster open.

I would think this, or their visions on playing time could of differed. Ish may have wanted a starting spot, and Ben could of seen him as a nice bench piece.

I’m not sure if it means that Parker Fox will end up being a good player at the D1 level or not, but Kansas landed a commitment from D2 All American Cam Martin. I take that as more evidence that it’s worth taking a shot on Fox.
