Golden Gophers in the NFL - 2024 Season

Jack Gibbens is a guy I had totally forgot about. That kid could move. Also, Fleck called it with Howden back during his freshman year. Said he's super raw but could easily be a legit NFL'er if he figures it out. Cool to see

Golden Gophers in the NFL - 2024 Season

Awe man, that makes me happy. TJ is one of my favorite Gophers and I'll always support the guy. I really hope it works out for him in LA.

Born & bred Minnesotan and U grad based in Spain. College football is the most absurd and beautiful sport in the world.

Reusse: P.J. Fleck is a much better coach than Tim Brewster, but when it comes to gibberish ...

Any sane, sober, rational human being that is living in reality knows how good we have it with PJ during this current NIL/transfer landscape we're in. Anytime I hear someone talk about PJ being anywhere near the hot/luke warm seat, or even entertain that he's not the guy, I know immediately not...

College Football graduation rates by school since 2016 🏈🎓 (MN: 90%)

We're ahead of Iowa and Wisconsin, that's all I needed to see. Georgia is just pathetic

All Things 2024 Gophers Football Fall Camp Updates Thread (Tweets, Videos, Etc)

I gotta say fellas, browsing the roster right now and I'm actually quite content with how we're looking. Good number of 4/5th year seniors at different position groups that have experience. Our RB and WR rooms could have some weapons and options if everything pans out. Talented DL if we stay...

    Coach Fleck- Heavy

Apparently Saban barely slept and ate little debbies and Diet Coke for breakfast every morning.

    Coach Fleck- Heavy

That's the face of a man who sees our NIL capability, doesn't have huge expectations, but can also spend a lot of money on good steak and whiskey. Edit: But seriously, I hope the guy is OK. I noticed the last 1-2 years his face and eyes looked a bit puffy, the way some people do when they take...

Coyle says changes could be coming to Gopher sports department

Fair enough, I don't doubt that. I also think it's a generational thing (I'm 32) My father's generation and friends (guys in their 60's and 70's) are certainly more dialed in and have fonder memories (and seemingly higher expectations) I really only know a handful of people around my age or...

Coyle says changes could be coming to Gopher sports department

The school and the broader Minnesotan populace don't care about having a successful CFB program. That's just the way it is. It's a tough pill to swallow but I've reached the acceptance stage long ago. I grew up and spent 98% of my life in my beloved Minnesota and it still felt a niche...

Which college football teams are most helped — and hurt — by conference realignment?

Respectfully disagree. I think it's frankly pathetic that we could never capitalize on winning our division and making at least one B1G title game. We only had Iowa and Wiscy in our way and we blew it every year. It's only going to get harder now

CBS: Big Ten stadium rankings (10. Minnesota - Huntington Bank Stadium)

So, according to the author, Iowa gets ranked higher because...the wave? And Iowa City is fun? Also, LA Coliseum has been a dead house for almost 20 years now, ever since Pete Carroll left. When our house is packed, it's one of the best places in all of college football.

Ranking Quarterback Rooms: Nebraska Football vs. the Big Ten (14. Minnesota Golden Gophers)

Has anyone here seen Max in person? How does his arm look? Does the ball jump out of his hand? We can talk about his leadership all we want, but until he can spray it around the field and hit some deep posts and deep outs, I don't care

Nick Saban $500K/Yr as "Professional" at Alabama

I'm surprised they didn't make him Governor the day after he stepped down. He's the most powerful man in that state.

How the Golden Gophers spent a decade running without making any progress

Author is drinking haterade. I appreciate weird off-season content as much as the next guy, but he should have spent his time writing about the Brewster era instead. I don't know who else the author could imagined that would have carried the Gophers through the late 90's/2000's, considering the...

CBS predicts Gophers will go 5-7 (wins: North Carolina, Rhode Island, Nevada, Iowa, Maryland)

Honestly, Bert beating us while at Illinois might piss me off more than any other negative during the PJ era. We can't let that smug bastard own us like that.

CBS predicts Gophers will go 5-7 (wins: North Carolina, Rhode Island, Nevada, Iowa, Maryland)

Well said. Until I see this front 7 and secondary move and hit (and also drop in coverage) I will not make any predictions. We looked like a DII secondary against UNC last year

8 seasons in under Fleck, how do we feel about our strength & conditioning program?

Haven't heard much about this over years. Has there been any notable difference under Fleck? Any critiques? These programs are pretty interchangeable at a lot of schools, just thought I'd see if anyone knows any more details.
