Which position group makes the biggest leap next year?

I’m going to go with the TEs. While they’ve been phenomenal in the blocking game, we’ve had almost no involvement from them in the passing game. With TJ6 gone and a new OC, I’m excited to see how they grow.

Totally Unscientific Report from SEC Country

“Low life” seems pretty harsh. Having lived in the south for the last few years, college football fanhood is a huge proxy for regional/state pride. It’s very different than what we experience in B1G country.

me with my PSU alum dad at the game...let’s just say he didn’t have as good a time as I did

    Offseason Hot Take

What's interesting is that Rutgers is actually in a much more talent-rich market than the Gophers are. Honestly, with the right investments, they could be legit. Keep in mind that their "full cut" of B1G revenue doesn't kick in for another couple of years.

College Football Head Coach Salary Rankings

This. With the way PJ's buyout is structured, it's basically guaranteed that there will be a new extension this year. What's going to be equally important is continuously upping the assistant pool so that we can attract and retain the right assistant coaching talent.

Totally Unscientific Report from SEC Country

Damn, cant we just enjoy having a good coach without the hand-wringing about if/when/how he leaves? The only real disadvantage Minnesota has relative to big time P5 jobs is in-state HS talent. I think PJ has made a lot of headway by driving recruiting in talent-rich areas (GA, FL, etc.). But...

    2020 Gopher Football Prediction Article

I feel like Nebraska is the Texas of the B1G: a perennially overrated program that hasn’t actually been a national title contender in some time. Them being ranked as a harder matchup than Iowa is definitely questionable.

The Athletic: First Look: Projecting Minnesota’s 2020 defense and special teams depth charts

Honestly, the Athletic is absolutely worth the subscription fee. It's hands down the best sports journalism out there today. I'm excited to see more coverage of the Gophers. Their Twins coverage is fantastic.

Sid: P.J. Fleck engineered historic Gophers turnaround; end of Claeys era "lowest points for any major college football program"

I’m pretty new to this board, but it seems that the weekly over/under on Kill/Claeys threads that devolve into the same arguments is at least 2-3

Ex-WI LB Borland: 15 guys lined up for injections

Toradol was designed to relieve severe post-surgical pain. It’s been abused in the NFL for years and likely drove the kidney failure of Steelers OG Chris Kemoeatu. Here’s a good article about it.

Schedule set for 2024 and 2025

I think if we consistently perform at or close to our current level, better non-Cons will come. Also, we’ve got UNC and Colorado on the docket over the next few years. UNC is absolutely going to be legit, and both are P5 programs.

Minnesota is on the cusp of hiring Cincinnati defensive line coach Chad Wilt

Fantastic hire. Came into a Cincinnati team that lost a ton of talent on their DL and still delivered. Bearcats line was a big part of their stout defense.

Minnesota ranked #10 in final AP Poll

Almost all of the (way too early) top 25s I have seen have included Minnesota. From an outsider's perspective, we are losing a lot on defense and expecting someone to step in for TJ6 on offense.

Phenomenal get for Wazzu, especially with the timing of this happening. I really feel for the Rainbow Warriors though, was a homecoming for Rolo and I’m sure they were hoping they could keep him for longer.

Joe Burrow decided to transfer after being surpassed by Dwayne Haskin after injury, LSU scooped him up

Also important to note that he had an unremarkable year in 2018. Then Joe Brady came to town and the rest is history.
