Gophers vs Wolverines - 247 Starter ratings

No surprises here in the starter ratings. OT: The Gophers have maximized the talent that they have. IMHO, they need three more impact players in each recruiting cycle. The season rests on the team gelling together and avoiding injuries. Inexperienced depth players are put into service sooner...

Tanner Morgan signed by the Vikings

The Vikings see the value of TM's lengthy college experience. He is perfect for running the opponent's offense. He has an opportunity to get reps. At best, he gets a shot as a backup. Meanwhile, he is getting a nice paycheck.

    Michigan is schooling Nebraska 38-0 Q4 14:15

They look like a No. 2 Team in the country. They are in a different planet. Be prepared for a spectacle next week.

What grade would you give Gophers coaching in win over Louisiana?

Like Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show pamphlet? There are all sorts of spectacles. https://centerofthewest.org/learn/western-essays/wild-west-shows/

    Z. Evans

Can the Gophers run the Option-Play? It will be a nice wrinkle as part of the offensive repertoire.

    Darius is Out

This. I hope PJ Fleck is paying attention. It is too convenient to entrust a large chunk of the offense to a single back. Develop the trust that your other backs can handle the load. The game today was a great teaching moment for everyone. The Gophers can open up the offense and play to win.

The Gophers 2023 receiving yard leader will be...

There it is. Run-first Offense. There is no surprise with the low WR production. I'd like to see BSP and Elijah Spencer get their game going. We haven't seen the promise of preseason. The coaches should pay more attention to the receiving game as they do with the running game.

What grade would you give Gophers coaching in win over Louisiana?

    B. Let's see more aggressive play-calling like today's game. The coaches should study the game films of other successful offenses. Crooms (?) and AK were rolling, resulting in a very nice play. Will we see more creativity with the WRs and TEs? Forget about the run-first offense. Mix it up...

    Harbaugh’s presser today

The offense needs a ton of help. What is the root of the faltering offense? Is it coaching, talent level, or both? PJ Fleck needs to figure things out. The Big Ten is getting more competitive.

    Bucky Irving - Oregon

This. The Gophers' Offense lacked creativity. The WR Room drastically needs speed.

    Louisiana vs. Minnesota

Ruh's Chris Steakhouse (10th St & 2nd Ave) is my personal favorite.

What's the story on Zach Evans?

They need to figure out how to utilize Zach Evans. Wear-and-tear on Darius Taylor isn't good running him that many times. They need to take advantage of the strengths of the other backs and tailor plays accordingly. After DT got hurt, we had no answer offensively. What was disappointing given...

What's the story on Zach Evans?

Things have happened to him that we may never know because of privacy protection. Did any of the local media ask PJ Fleck about Zach Evans?

How do you cope with Gopher disappointment? I broaden my view to the wider B1G. You?

I walk away from Gopher podcasts and do things with family and friends.

    Craig McDonald

That is a little bit of good news moving forward this season.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTHWESTERN BOUNCE BACK IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Memo to PJ Fleck: Please recruit high-level talent aggressively. Wide receivers are on top of that list. The Gophers fall short of the vital ingredient - major impact player(s) that make others around them better. Does the Dinky Town Athletes have deep enough pockets? Now is the time to go to...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTHWESTERN BOUNCE BACK IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I agree—shades of the tOSU loss when Mo was injured. Darius Taylor did not play in the later part of the game. Was he hurt? Northwestern's Defense crushed the Gophers' Offense in the second half. The Gophers were unidimensional. Not utilizing all the weapons at their disposal is a mistake. AK...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTHWESTERN BOUNCE BACK IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Play-calling wasn't dynamic in the second half. How in the world did the Gophers blow a comfortable half-time lead? The Defense collapsed in the second half.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTHWESTERN BOUNCE BACK IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

AK's performance and the play calling are horrendous.
