Minnesota's P.J. Fleck still tinkering with offensive line before Big Ten schedule begins

Do you... do you think he has another Daniel Faalele sitting around somewhere that we haven't seen. He would have to be hidden very well.

Golden Gophers in the NFL - 2024 Season

Couple of great blocks and big catches. Frequent callouts from broadcast crew

Congratulations to NIU & HC Thomas Hammock

PJ would have to get into the inaugural playoff and win a game this year for ND to even think about it. If he did that nobody would be happy about losing him.

Congratulations to NIU & HC Thomas Hammock

I mean let's slow our roll. Dude still has a losing record as a head coach lol

    Week 2 Other Games Thread

Honestly, props to them. Their schedule is kinda nuts to start the season. Idaho and Boise are good teams and probably tougher outs than a few P4 teams, then they have their biggest rivalry game next week.

Oh look, Oregon centered the ball before their field goal attempt. They must be geniuses or something.

What grade do you give Gophers coaches in win over Rhode Island?

He’s not wrong. The offensive line is bad.

I agreed with you until the NFL last night and Gophers today. It’s a pretty good app tbh

    Daniel Fa'alele

Think he redeemed himself pretty well with his second catch. Very fun game to kick off the NFL season.

P.J. Fleck on struggling offense: 'This isn't backyard football'

You know what? I'm going to change my tune on this. Y'all are right. The Gophers averaged 21 points per game last year. It was statistically their worst season since 2011 when they won three games. It doesn't matter that they had a soggy potato for a QB. KC put together a more competent offense...

P.J. Fleck on struggling offense: 'This isn't backyard football'

Check out their schedule. If their QB turns out to be any good, then they very well could make the playoffs.

What grade would you give Max Brosmer in his first game with the Gophers?

So keeping in mind that he was clearly better than the rental QB with an SEC pedigree playing opposite him in his first game, can you name one other rental QB that outplayed him this week across college football? I don’t see a clearly better performance among teams that played real competition...

Y'all are blaming the wrong thing for that loss...

Georgia is currently slashing Clemson with very similar concept. Bunch formations are not an inherently bad thing.

Y'all are blaming the wrong thing for that loss...

You're not crazy. I walked away from that game pretty pleased. Obviously, the W would be better, but the things that were broken (run game, offensive line) are things that we know Fleck & Co. can fix. They should have won that game. The things that sunk them were penalties, missed kicks, and a...

Bringing in QB with only 1 year of eligibility

I'm willing to put money on completion percentage if you are.

Y'all are blaming the wrong thing for that loss...

My point is that we have threads in here blaming the receivers and QB when the run game was atrocious. The pass game was pretty damn good especially given the fact that the Gophers were throwing into a blanket.
