Minnesota Vs. USC 2024 Media Predictions

Part of the reason the Gophers have the #1 passing defense (they have allowed fewer than 100 YPG on average so far) is that they've played against two of the best running backs in the country. Kaleb Johnson (Iowa) is averaging 8 YPC and Kalel Mulings (Mich) is averaging 7 YPC. Max Brosmer (7.1...

Big Ten to modify officiating on onside kicks.

Even if they got that call right, a Gopher player touched the ball before 10 yards. It's not like the Gophers lost a sure thing because of this call.

    Injuries

That crazy thing is that he was _flying_ in that game. Sitting behind home plate and he looked like the fastest player on the field. You could see that pick coming before it happened. Haven't seen him play in-person much since, but I wonder if the issue isn't speed.

    Injuries

He was the sole reason that Iowa ran over the Gophers in the third quarter last week as well. Repeatedly took bad angles. Is a huge bummer. I was so excited about him after his big pinstripe bowl performance.

Gophers likely to climb in SP+ after loss to Michigan

SP+ considers Michigan to be the #5 defense in the country and believes that an average offense will score ~13.1 points against the Michigan defense. Minnesota out-gained Michigan 296-241 and gained 20 first downs to Michigan's 15. As odd as this is, Vegas is going to come away from this game...

Is it time to admit PJ (and staff) can coach?

Because they lost to Michigan? Could pay me to do that

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MICHIGAN BATTLE FOR THE LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I mean, the fix would be on gophers beating the spread lol. Ref just sucks

Ref wanted the smoke from the Michigan fans. Couldn’t handle the good touchdown

PJ isn’t trying to win this game. He just wants to keep it close

The better question is why are you arguing with a guy that we can tell is a raging alcoholic just from his profile picture

If Johnson holds up for even 2 seconds, Brosmer makes completions. Every time he gets beat the play explodes.

Honestly, I think he’s better than 2019 Morgan. Just doesn’t have Tyler and Rashod

My god Johnson cannot be the best we can do at center. I know he’ll get better but he is sinking the entire line right now

    Where Are We Headed

The Gophers have been identity-less on offense without KC. I still don't understand what offense Harbaugh is trying to run. It feels like it is bad at everything. KC's spread offense worked well and left the the opposing safeties in conflict. With Harbaugh, there isn't any real repeatable...

Major Shift: Gophers 8.5 Point Underdogs to Mich After Opening 12.5 (Wisconsin 16 pt Underdogs to USC After Opening 14)

I think you're right, but what the sharps are looking at: Michigan's offense is struggling and Minnesota has a top 20 defense (last week's collapse notwithstanding -- also they were missing key pieces of their secondary). SP+ expects Michigan to score ~20-23 pts Minnesota's offense was able to...

Major Shift: Gophers 8.5 Point Underdogs to Mich After Opening 12.5 (Wisconsin 16 pt Underdogs to USC After Opening 14)

This lines up with the advance stats, but definitely not the eye test. Illini have looked great this year and PSU has looked vulnerable. But I feel strongly about this so PSU will probably win by 45.

Roll call of everyone who is done with this program

You added an awful lot to that comment that was not written. His point was that the players are getting paid now and so it’s fair game to expect them to perform or leave. This isn’t a charity anymore. It’s a business, and when the salary cap goes in; it will be even more of a business...

    Brosmer is not a stud.

Nobody said better than Morgan. He is better than Weber who as a junior threw far more interceptions than touchdowns
