Practice and game roster limits need to be set to 75

Minnesota will attract players in the portal who want playing time. NIL money or not.

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

It will be interesting to see how all these changes affect grades, transfer eligibility, and NCAA Academic achievement awards given to schools like MN, NW, etc. Others have mentioned young kids making bad decisions by transferring and ending up with no degree and no NFL prospects. I sure hope...

Shama: Roles for U Frosh Koi Perich in 2024 Might Be Multiple

This kid is the second all-time Gopher recruit in history! I see remarkable things ahead for Gopher Football barring a significant injury. https://247sports.com/college/minnesota/Sport/Football/AllTimeRecruits/

PFF: Name a Running Back who will have a breakout season in 2024 (Darius Taylor)

It may help the backup RBs reasons to stay put. PJ needs to lighten up the load and rely on the Running Room more. PJ is stubborn in some respects. The running game is critical for the passing game. That is what makes Max Brosmer exciting. We have a lot to be optimistic about.

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

Gosh, watching MIAC college football games is an attractive alternative for less money and parking headaches. Oh, wait. D III schools can offer NIL payments too.

PFF: Name a Running Back who will have a breakout season in 2024 (Darius Taylor)

We don't want to see DT run to the ground like Mo. There must be a balance to keep him healthy and still get the numbers. Give other RBs a little more carries to give him occasional rest.

Media Prediction Thread: Minnesota at UCLA

I'd say the Gophers' big test is beating UCLA. It is going to take getting used to the new Big Ten. The Gophers will adapt. IMHO, it opens Gopher recruiting opportunities on the West Coast. We have a 2025 CA commit in Jackson Kollock from Laguna Beach. That is a start. Hopefully, more CA...

CFN: College Football Head Coach Rankings (#54. PJ Fleck, Minnesota; BT Rank: 12)

It is hard to know what is real and not real with AI. It could also be a terrible writer. The Bowling Green loss was a tough loss that impacted the Gophers.

Asmussen: So far at Illinois, Bielema has Fleck's number

Bielema has always been a torn on the Gophers' backs even when he was with the Badgers. I remember thinking good riddance when he left for the Razorbacks. Should we worry about a Gopher losing streak against the Fighting Illini?

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

PJ Fleck is aggressively recruiting in-state student-athletes who will stay for four years with the program. That is smart for Gopher Football to provide some stability. IMHO, there will be more losers than winners. They wanted NIL which is a double-edged sword.

Rutgers’ Kirk Ciarrocca is one of the highest paid coordinators in college football

I missed KC and I am happy he is getting paid well. We lost a good one.

Daniel Jackson: 80.1 PFF Grade Vs Press Coverage Last Season 🐿 1st Among Returning Big Ten WRs

With Brosmer's demonstrated leadership and team bonding in Georgia, I like the Gopher's chances of fielding a good WR corps and a unified team.

    Jah Joyner: GRADUATED

This is the true Gopher success story. Players who graduate and make something of their lives after football with values taught while in the program. Getting drafted is a bonus.

Emmanuel Karmo closes recruitment. Cancels visits at other schools.

It is a long time before the early 2025 NSD. It is encouraging that P.J. Fleck is going full throttle in cultivating strong instate relationships. Homegrown talent is a key to the program's stability.

Could Gophers Darius Taylor be one of the best running backs in college football this season?

What will Greg Harbaugh's offense be like? A balanced attack with Max Brosmer at the helm would be nice. We want a dynamic offense that utilizes Darius Taylor's running prowess with a healthy passing attack.
