Did anyone hear what the President of NCAA testified concerning NIL?

Athletes as paid university employees, real student-athletes, and pay-to-play were brought up in addition to unfair advantages created by NIL run amok. Universities have no control or don't want to. Congress has much bigger fish to fry than tackling NIL.

Michigan is destroying Indiana 52 - 7 with 4 minutes left.

    Gophers, don’t feel so bad.

STrib: Gophers football ready to 'draw a line in the sand' after Michigan debacle

It is bothersome that the Gophers continue to lose games like that. I agree. They need that killer-instinct non-vanilla flavor.

    The problem with PJ

The Gophers need a killer instinct on offense. Loosen up the offensive philosophy. Do not be afraid of failure.

    The problem with PJ

The problem that I see is it is difficult to recruit to MN due to its geography and weather reputation. PJ Fleck has made in-roads and he brought Gopher Football to respectability. It is not enough. The Gophers need more four-star caliber players. Maryland, Rutgers, Purdue, and Indiana are...

    Koi Perich Commits to Gophers!!!!!!!!!

I get worried when the "Koi Perich Commit to the Gophers!!!!!!!!" thread perks up. We need him. If you have been there in the seventies and recently, the Los Angeles basin has changed dramatically. You can understand the out-migration from CA in general. Maybe PJ Fleck can recruit the greater...

STrib: Gophers football ready to 'draw a line in the sand' after Michigan debacle

The Gophers have one of the toughest schedules. Every MI faced got blown out. The players should holds their heads high. There are valuable lessons learned as pointed out. There’s plenty to upgrade or fix. Okay. They miss the dynamic play calling of KC. Our lost is Rutger’s gain. PJ needs...

Tanner Morgan signed by the Vikings

The NFL is at the pinnacle of football. Many good college football players will never have the chance. At least TM got a taste. Ko Kieft is a great story. He was ready for his next career when Tampa Bay came calling in Round 6.

    This guy is spot on

The Gophers will rebound. PJ Fleck has a lot of figuring out to do. The talent gap is evident against Michigan. The Gophers need to rachet up recruiting. It is a combination of things that need to be worked on. Coaching, dynamic offensive scheme, recruiting.

Describe the Gophers loss to Michigan in 1 sentence.

Minnesota got schooled by a far superior Michigan team with better talent, coaching, and depth.

What are our options at QB?

AK has the disadvantage of not having many game reps due to injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic in high school. Drew Viotto and Drake Lindsey both have many HS game reps. He needs time to mature and develop at the cost of a dismal season. I don't think it is all about him. Coaching, the...

Honest Question: What does PJ bring to the table?

PJ Fleck made the Gophers competitive and instilled fun for many who suffered throughout the years past Glen Mason. Moving forward with NIL and the new Big Ten, the Gophers are at a disadvantage in recruiting at a higher level and money. They have to change and adapt. I don't know what the...

Honest Question: What does PJ bring to the table?

Do you remember PJ's zig-zag chart? If Zig is down, the Gophers are in a down year.

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

PJ Fleck and the Gophers are doomed if they don’t recruit at a higher level. Nebraska, Purdue, Nebraska, and Wisconsin all have improved. Iowa has always been tough.

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

It is unfortunate that the Gophers are playing MI before the Iowa game. They are worn down playing against a team with deep talent. The Gophers may be looking at 5th place in the final Big Ten West season.

Gophers vs Wolverines - 247 Starter ratings

Experience through failure will pay dividends for the green players down the road. Unfortunately, weaknesses in Defense are bound to be exploited. Hopefully, these players get better sooner with more playing time to salvage some victories.
