Post Game Thread: Gophers win 3rd in a row, CRUSH Maryland!

PJ is trusting the coordinators and the game plan. He is now beyond game interference because he has two guys he really believes in. Yes, this is personal growth. We should be happy with this.

Post Game Thread: Gophers win 3rd in a row, CRUSH Maryland!

The game plan coming in was to throw the ball. Maryland pass defense is poor and they didn't get much presure on Max. Even so, it was impressive that our passing game could not be stoppped even when the Terps knew exactly what we were doing.

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over Maryland?

It's an A for the masterful game plan.

    Gopher GM -NIL Contract Manager

If the number that comes up is not in your contacts, don't answer. Probably spam.

No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa is expected to land an NIL package north of $3M and could get as high as $4M. BYU prepared to pay “4 to $4.5M"

Not going to say there are not cases where what you say is true. But college sports is really unique. When a guy arrives on campus and starts to work with his teammates there is an inevitable bonding into something much bigger than the individual for the vast majority of players.

No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa is expected to land an NIL package north of $3M and could get as high as $4M. BYU prepared to pay “4 to $4.5M"

Here's a simpler argument. The new BIG TV agreement increased revenues substantially for each school. This is new money. Would you agree that the new money is adequate to fund player compensation? If most schools were breaking even -- or close -- before, let's assign the new money properly...

No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa is expected to land an NIL package north of $3M and could get as high as $4M. BYU prepared to pay “4 to $4.5M"

Each Big Ten school is receiving something like $80 million a year in TV revenues. Not enough to take care of the athletes being watched on TV?

Homecoming Uniforms: Numbers on helmets against Maryland.

When recruits are thinking about great uniforms I doubt they are considering throw backs.

No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa is expected to land an NIL package north of $3M and could get as high as $4M. BYU prepared to pay “4 to $4.5M"

Sorry, didn't see what you highlighted. It is unregulated, unofficial, not tied to revenues the program is earning featuring the athletes (TV), not dependable, and not conducive to promoting the college game. This hasn't come up much that I know of but how many players are being bought by...

No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa is expected to land an NIL package north of $3M and could get as high as $4M. BYU prepared to pay “4 to $4.5M"

Not a hard question. Parker Fox embodies everything you want for your basketball program. Cam Christy left very little impression.

No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa is expected to land an NIL package north of $3M and could get as high as $4M. BYU prepared to pay “4 to $4.5M"

Free portal, yes. But there is no connection between NIL and money the players bring in to the University. It would all make some sense if players were being paid by the university out of TV proceeds. But outside NIL money with no regulation is absurd. Personally, I am always heartened when...

On the contrary, there is very little pressure on a kid getting $4 million from an overhanging tree branch. He doesn't care any more than he would if you gave him $40,000.

    Indiana

Of course we would. It didn't count. That's why every player on every team got an additional year of eligibility. But we would have been happy to go 6-1 in scrimmages.

***OFFICIAL BEMIDJI STATE AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

No, Bob is just a very confident guy. Nothing wrong with that and it's certainly preferable to weepy whiny types. But, it does bite him sometimes. Who can forget the last thing Bob said to Wilhelm Keitel just before the start of the Nurember Tribunal: "Don't sweat it. I got this." Or what...

***OFFICIAL BEMIDJI STATE AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That's some scary inside knowledge. You are the only guy in America who thought Ben brought Frank Mitchel to join a centerless team and then play him at wing? Guard? Point guard?
