Caleb Williams commits to the Gophers

Remember how stupid the Bulls were when they traded Olden Polynice for that NAIA forward. I can’t recall, but I think his name was pippy or pipper or Scott something. Anyways, everyone knows the level they play at governs their ability - it’s just like so obvious. What ever happened to that...

    Gopher Potential Portal Pursuits

That’s gonna be a tricky year. Probably the year to defer and take more rookies. The Covid year dries up, so scarcity will be an issue. We also might have resolution on legal matters, thus expect the market to be different,

I got to think college is better unless you are a first rd pick. In the NBA opportunity matters. Guys that are picked in the 1st round receive more patience. The opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them can't be undersold. 2nd round picks the pressure is higher from the start. You don't...

All Things 2024 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

He did finally get his NFL redshirt year last season. 1st time learning a real pro style offense; seems like Jets and Panthers didn’t do much for him. I think a lot of fans are likely to be surprised vs their expectations. In all, who really cares if its JJ or Sam that succeeds anyhow.

Which QB do the Vikes draft?

I’m trying to mentally set up the narrative that Atlanta is our 1989 Vikings….. we got the Cowboys Dynasty coming…. Taking Kurt gave us our Aikman. The tampering will get us a pick swap (please NFL), and Not picking Turner, allows him to slide to set up the dynastic defense that is coming…...

Not sure. Just thinking through, Izzo does have long history (going back several decades) knowing Ben and Thorson. Eveidence would suggest he respects the methods. After Alan Anderson, Izzo was always was in early on Thorson coached guys. I think perhaps he could have some level of...

Which QB do the Vikes draft?

I speculate The cheating could actually help his development; e.g. didn’t Ton Brady learn to process and read so well the same way. Arm Takent Difference between Penix and McCarthy can be coached. I actually can do that much myself; any NFL coach will do this substantially better than me. This...

The book on him is, he’s terrible at fair catches, so I imagine he slipped because of the risk. 😉

Which QB do the Vikes draft?

That’s essentially true of any QB, They appear to fail spectacularly. Culpepper went to 3 pro bowls before tearing his knee. That was worth the draft pick. So was Teddy. Great decisions at the time.
