Okay. I guess I am just confused about part of your earlier comment: "...Creating a fun environment is something that you need to survive. Want students to attend the games? Well storming the field after a big win is just good advertising."

Nah, it's not a crabby old man thing. I think the PSU game and the Wisc. game were perfect times to storm the field and the fact that we still talk about those games tells us that. Hell, I stormed the field after we beat the Badgers! But now it is done so often by schools across the country for...

Yes. Seriously. In my opinion it wasn't a field-storming moment. As upnorthkid said in post #7... "Feels like its less and less about the significance of the win and just desiring to be on the field and say you did it."

Yup, I was actually a little embarrassed watching the field fill up with fans after the USC game.

Gophers' Max Brosmer grades as one of the 8 best passing quarterbacks in the country

I can think of several QBs with a fraction of this guy's talents that were given a shot in the NFL. Someone will take him and I think he'll make it.

New Glarus and Badger football - both popular and overrated at one time, now just "meh".

Who are your four favorite Gophers running backs?

Marion Barber Jr. - I had cut out the picture of him on the cover of the Minneapolis Tribune TV Week and taped it to my wall. I then became an official Gopher football fan for life. Darrell Thompson - Same age as me, so I like to think we were basically the same. Laurence Maroney - I just loved...

    Illinois Point Spread

On Brosmer's TD pass underneath to Jackson (the one on the open end of the stadium), I thought to myself "there is no way Kaliakmanis makes that throw". Then the memory of that pass to the TE in the Illinois game entered my mind. Ugh.

    The headline Sunday will read?...

I hardly watched any of it. But I did see the Nike commercial right after the game congratulating New York. I wonder what Nike had prepared for a Minnesota Lynx victory. Oh, wait....nevermind.
