He was a good to really good player for a really long time, which definitely deserves a ton of respect. There is just a long list of more dominant hitters. His longevity is almost unmatched though.

To be clear there’s no denying Pete would be in the hall based on his play alone, but he’s not on the short list of greatest hitters ever.

Either way Pete Rose probably doesn't crack the top 50.
Putting aside the "does he belong in the hall" commentary, I'm seeing a lot of comments online about Pete being arguably the greatest hitter of all time, which is definitely not even close to being the case.
Because nobody in the county is quite like Hunter. For as great as Koi is and can be, Hunter is on a different level. There's a reason he has a great shot to win the Heisman.
I think the issues at Purdue go well beyond Harrell. Just a few years ago he was considered a big up and comer in the coaching world. I won't act like I follow him enough to know everything about him, but this definitely smells of a HC needing to make a change to buy himself/the program a little...
