    Go Get Musselman

Last round, I was with you in that I thought Medved was worst case. He's definitely proven better with 2 NCAA tournament berths since then at CSU. He'd be a solid hire IMO. It's almost like Craig Smith and Medved have switched spots for me this time around. I'd still take Smith, but I think...

    Braeden Carrington in the Portal

I'll keep playing the game and seeing what transfers we pull in, but it's gotta be all but over here for Ben.

    Ben Johnson is a Disaster

It's more than just NIL. NIL may be a big part, but kids are not invested here for whatever reason with Ben's teams. Not a good look.

    Returning Playas for 2024-25

If you're using multiple scholarships on walk-ons in year 4, it'a joke. So here's the current (Playable) roster: Asuma Hawkins Mitchell Christie Betts Garcia (Fox) *Get the NDSU kid to commit and then let's just keep the transfers coming in. We're not a total dumpster as of yet.

Take a deep breath, it’ll be okay.

Why would Hadley come to us? I'd be ecstatic but seems highly unlikely. Just made a solid tournament run with Boulder. We aren't giving him big NIL. Would be great if he wants his family to watch him play or something but I'm not counting on that.

I agree. Sorry to Carrington and JOJ, but they weren't really worth a damn this year. There's literally hundreds of guys that you can find to replace these 2. They might be decent players, but we didn't use them so that's irrelevant. Go get guys that you will use. Payne will be a top level...

Take a deep breath, it’ll be okay.

I agree, all of college basketball deals with transfers. Guys leave, go get other guys. With that said, Ben was hired to keep MN guys home and build on them. That isn't happening. So the original plan for why we hired this guy is gone, and we haven't won much. I would much rather have...

Do you want Ben back for a fourth year?

Another good point - We shall see.

Do you want Ben back for a fourth year?

Agreed 1000% percent here. This same team, even if everyone comes back, is not enough. You've got to go get another solid difference maker or two, and then a depth piece or two or three or four...etc. It's not that far fetched to make it happen either. Ben can do it.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT BUTLER NIT FIRST ROUND IN-GAME POST-SEASON BASKETBALL(!!!) THREAD!!!***

Nice to see us get a win last night. A lot of Garcia just making plays down the stretch. We need more scoring capable guards was a takeaway for me if we really want to be NCAA tournament next year, and clearly Ben and staff are making that a priority. It's pretty clear Mitchell is a guy that...

Do you want Ben back for a fourth year?

I think it's fair to give Ben the 4th year - But I don't think the qualification should be "playing competitive basketball in conference play in January" The bar has gotta be higher than that.

Do you want Ben back for a fourth year?

It's a fair point, and I'm prepared for a year 4 with Ben. It still seems unlikely that Ben is the answer, but it's a reality we'll see what happens. If / whenever Ben is gone, there will always be the idea that you'll have to start over. Some coaches are able to come in, bring guys with...
