Id do anything they wanted if Buxton, Miranda, and Duran were off the list but those 3 would have to headline...at least 2 would have to headline (prob Miranda and Duran as I don't know how they'd approach Buxton's contract)

I'd do that in a heartbeat but sadly I think he'll demand names like Buxton or Duran along with top minor league players.

I'd honestly give up the farm system for Alcantara at this point. His contract is good for like 3 or 4 more years with team options after (I think haven't checked). In 3 or 4 years you can re stock a bit and we'll be contenders during that whole time.

Varland, Winder, and even Woods-Richardson can fill in for injuries. So, I agree...#1 or #2 caliber starter or there isn't much of a point.

i'm just really not too sure how much more we CAN improve the staff...i mean we could have 5 number 1's to throw out there but realistically we have 5 pretty competent starters with a few decent depth pieces already. In my opinion, on paper, this is the best staff we've had 1-5 in 20 years. If...

If Athan was in a walking boot he'll be the starter day 1 unless it was a torn achilles. Even a broken bone he'll be back by the spring game.

Overall it was a pretty even game. The final 5 minutes Dallas hit some shots when the Wolves D fell apart. Tough loss but can't say they played terrible.

No it's a long shot but some of the teams ahead of them have not looked all that great lately. They're playing with some high confidence.
