SI: 10 College Football Teams Running on a Wheel of MediocrityDo they need a coaching change or just a bit more patience?

Per Pat Forde of SI: Minnesota (27) has been successful under seventh-year coach P.J. Fleck, going 47–30. The Gophers have had winning Big Ten records three times, they’re 4–0 in bowl games, and they’ve beaten rival Wisconsin twice in a row for the first time since 1993 and ’94. (Last time...

Gophers' Tyler Nubin viewed as potential 2024 first-round pick

Mostly a backup who got in a bit. Started one game when the starter went down and played ok. Biggest issue was he struggled to keep up with the speed of NFL pass rushers

Gophers' Tyler Nubin viewed as potential 2024 first-round pick

If Walley decides to enter, there will be three sure fire draft picks for the Gophers next year (Nubin, BSF, and Walley). It'll be interesting to see if anyone else will be able to play their way into the draft.

I was trying to organize some old files and found these tcf concept illustrations

Does anyone know why they made it and East-West stadium versus a North-South? I always get blinded by the sun during the first half, and I cant imagine the players have it much better

    Schedule Format

Just out of curiosity, how would they decide who each teams permament opponent is?

All Things Big Game Boomer Thread (Best of Lists)

I can't say for certain, but I kinda doubt it. My best friend is from East Lansing and goes to MSU and he said that the atmosphere for the Gopher game is typical for them.

All Things Big Game Boomer Thread (Best of Lists)

Yeah, the location is not ideal for a crazy pregame scene, esepcially for tailgating. Location does not excuse the students though. For the most games there are only about 50 students at the gate when gates open.

All Things Big Game Boomer Thread (Best of Lists)

As much as I wish this wasn't true it kinda is. I went to the Michigan St game this year and their gameday experience is absolutely CRAZY! Tailgates for what seemed like miles and the student section line was over half mile long. Granted their campus is more well suited for tailgating, but the...

ESPN: Big Ten spring preview: Top storyline, newcomer to watch for each team

I'm really excited to see what Zach Evans can do as well. He got a lot of praise last offseason.

    Terell Smith Generating Draft Buzz

Per Jordan Reid ESPN: Reid: This cornerback class is going to have some ridiculous testing numbers. I mentioned Christian Gonzalez as a potential workout warrior, but Georgia's Kelee Ringo, Penn State's Joey Porter Jr. and Maryland's Deonte Banks should also really dominate the on-field drills...

Minnesota Football: Grading the 2022 Season.

B-. For me, a big what if about this season will be what if Tanner had not had come back and Athan was QB1 from the start.

What grade would you give the Gophers coaching during the 2022 regular season?

We lost to Purdue, Iowa, and Illinois so I don’t see your point there. Nebraska was a nice comeback win but it was the first time PJ has won being down 10+ at the half.

What grade would you give the Gophers coaching during the 2022 regular season?

C-: Virtually no in game adjustments ever, once we got down it was almost impossible to come back, didn't fully utilize Athan's skill set until the last game, and stuck with Tanner too long. Defense was good, but the stubbornness to adjust the offense mid-game and mid-season costed us a chance...

Misleading Commentary Regarding 9/10 Win Seasons

I have started to think this too. 9 wins is great, but compared to Kill, Fleck has gotten lucky in the sense that we no longer have to play Michigan or Michigan St every year, Nebraska is in the cellar, and Wisconsin is no longer a consistent top 15 team. It is very possible that Kill could have...

    Tanner and Athan Article

I thought the article was interesting, but I do think it was a little too forgiving of Tanner. Yes Tanner was 6/8 as the article said, but that was only for 36 yards. The article also credited a lot of the success in the second half to the oline being more physical and providing running lanes...

POLL!! What is the Current State of Golden Gopher Football?

Personally, I feel like we are a perennial bowl team. I think we're close to being a division contender and last year I probably would have considered them to be division contenders, but given the fact that they have not been able to take advantage of Wisconsin's and Iowa's down year shows to me...
