Not a big deal. everyone is different. We are raised differently, we raise differently. I do know that for recruits they pick coaches, programs and schools for so many reasons and by that time they have been exposed to so many teams and programs. They have traveled all over, seen other places...

Why ? Tons of parents respect their kids for finding the path the kid wants. Our kids and grandchildren picked different schools them we did. So many factors. Not all parents force their hatred of teams and programs onto their children.

No doubt they improved. I just view his overall body of work as mediocre to horrible. Wins , conference place is another measure. There is nothing to suggest that he is a good coach to me.

Your right, it is not as though he has zero coaching ability. Whether or not he is a capable D1 coach is debatable as his record in the Big 10 was among the worst in history for those that got 8 years. In his new job he got them from 11th to 10th in year one.
