It seems to me NIL/transfer portal has evened things out a little bit in football. Oregon, Ohio St, Georgia, etc are still going to be better than everyone else but I think the gap has shrunk some. It's done the opposite for basketball.

I think it's smart having a former player run the NIL program too.

I think with the new rules if you can get good at a line drive right down the middle between the returners that lands inside the 5, that either results in the ball bouncing into the end zone (TB to the 20 instead of 30) or one of the returners catches it but has his momentum going to the side...
