POST GAME THREAD: GOPHERS COMPLETE HOLLYWOOD SWEEP!!

Yes, and it’s nice to have time to change a play at the line, and have a timeout or two available at the half and games end. Huge improvement there.

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over UCLA?

The “flat” halves are frustrating, the comeback was impressive, as was the finish. Wins are always tough when you are at Minnesota’s current level, but they are always good. Offensive line is puzzlingly weak, I don’t get playing coverage on the UCLA go ahead drive, when pressure had dominated...

    Thank you!

The Minnesota crowd and noise came off very well on the broadcast. Kind of impressive actually.

    Koi Perich is the man

No coincidence that we won the last 2 with him in as a defender. Definitely has IT. Nice to have it on our side.

An interesting Gopher Football season with a UCLA connection:

Looking back on the schedules they played and mostly competitive games, he was an under appreciated coach in my opinion. I think had bowl games been then what they have become now, he may have stuck awhile longer.

Hot take: are these the best Gopher's unis of all time?

My wife says “I like their outfits”, I’m like they are not “outfits” they are uniforms! The white stripe on the pants was great.

    How's Koi doing?

Someone said in this thread, he looks like an Alabama athlete. Oh yeah, that was me. Seriously the guy has IT, was all over the field once he came in, just a different looking athlete, even compared to the other MN DB’s who are very athletic. What a great get for the program. The interception...

    Jah Joyner Appreciation Thread

He was huge Saturday night, really stood out. The lack of holding calls was kind of bizarre actually. All in my opinion of course.

    The headline Sunday will read?...

Fleck says: This one’s on me.

Big Ten to modify officiating on onside kicks.

You can’t have every play reviewable, but in that case there was a play stoppage and replays everywhere. The powers that be could have fixed it in 15 seconds. Then again they still screwed Virginia Tech against Miami so…..there’s that.

    How's Koi doing?

He looks like an Alabama athlete in a Minnesota uniform, great get for th Gophers.

P.J. Fleck 'will not accept losing,' calls moral victories 'rat poison'

Year 1 a moral victory can be built on, in year 8 it’s just more BS. Glad Coach said that.

    Daniel Jackson

That catch on the interference reminded me of Johnson’s catch against Auburn. About as good as you will find IMHO.

Is it time to admit PJ (and staff) can coach?

I thought the defense played ok, but they were in a position to make tackles and allowed extra yards consistently. I thought since Kill we have been a good tackling team. I also thought there were some bad angles and a slowness to react to the qb when he decided to run. Just seemed off when...

I am not a conspiracy theory guy but..,

The helmet schools consistently get the better of the calls in most games it seems, of course this is just my opinion. But last night Miami got a reversal call on a Hail Mary pass to win a game, when both announcers and the guest rules analyst agreed there was not enough to overturn. Then...
