Ant is a #1, he's just a young and learning one. He doesn't have the experience that Luka and especially Kyrie have, but he has put the team on his back and won multiple playoff games this season. Completely disagree on KAT. He hasn't proven that, he's currently in his prime, and in his biggest...

McDaniels gets frustrating on offense at times, but I wouldn't say he's little threat to score. He has scored in double figures more often than not in the playoffs, and he's currently their 3rd leading scorer this postseason behind only Ant and KAT.

KAT is super talented and can put up great numbers, but he doesn't have the brain of a champion and he's not a #2 on a championship team. He's not worth close to the 50-60 million he's going to get for the next 4 years, plus he gets injured every year. A David Khan move would be to keep...

All Things 2023-2024 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

It's extremely unlikely that Rudy will get another 5 year deal and he's currently playing on the largest contract he'll ever get. He turns 32 in a month and will turn 33 right after next season. I think he'll use his player option and take the 47 million rather than hitting the FA market after...

McDaniels and Naz are two different players who play different positions. You keep worrying about getting full value for KAT. The the biggest value of trading KAT is just getting rid of his contract, even if they just get aging players on shorter/expiring contracts to make the money work.

All Things 2023-2024 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Trading Naz in favor of keeping KAT and Rudy would be a really dumb decision short and long term. The good news is Connelly isn't dumb. As long as Glen Taylor doesn't mess it up and Connelly sticks around, he knows the future is Ant, Naz, and McDaniels, and continuing to put the right players...

Then that means moving KAT or Rudy will have to occur this offseason. Without that, the Wolves won't have the money or starting position that Naz can get from pretty much every other team in the league by the end of next season.

For starters you should work on your math. 82 - 62 is 20 games, not 10, and that's 1/4th of the season, which is not a small sample size. Naz doesn't just play against subs, he regularly plays against starters and plays well. Thanks for admitting again that you either don't watch the games, or...

It hasn’t been pretty? What are you talking about? The Wolves had a better record without KAT than with him this season. How quickly you have forgotten.

All Things 2023-2024 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Because when Naz plays KATs minutes he's just as good and significantly cheaper/younger. If you can move KAT and his salary for a combo guard who can score to play next to Ant, it's a no brainer. KAT is the key to the Wolves right now because he's going to get his minutes. If he does nothing...

All Things 2024 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Did we win a championship? And my whole point to trading Lewis is that he’s basically still a top tier prospect. I wouldn’t trade him for more prospects, I’d trade him for an OF or a SP who would play immediately. Similar to Arraez for Lopez. Kirilloff is also a terrible OF and shouldn’t be...

He has helped the team so much this year. Gotta keep him at 3B though, he stays so healthy there.

And I think that is a mistake, nor do I believe he's any less likely to get injured playing 3B. Just like Buxton didn't stay more healthy DH'ing last season. Lewis is an elite hitter but he's an average 3B at best. If all the Twins young guys pan out, they're all IF's long term. Lewis is the...

Conley is their 6th best player at this point. I'm all for trading Towns, but I also won't be surprised if this roster looks mostly the same next season. I'm also fine with that.

He also gets hurt running the bases. I don't think where he plays in the field is going to prevent him from getting hurt again.

The 05 Wolves had an old Cassell and Sprewell, and the 10 Vikings had an old Favre. Keenum had a flukey season in 17. This Wolves team has a young core with a budding 22 year old superstar who has improved every year. They essentially just ran it back this season and improved significantly...

All Things 2023-2024 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Rudy has still been a positive in the +/- pretty much the entire playoffs until last night. Plus he's the cheaper, shorter contract option at this point, and Naz can do pretty much everything KAT can do. Towns was solid in the playoffs until this series, but it's obvious he's not a #2 on a...

This pretty much sums it up. But maybe none of this is happening either if Naz is getting KAT's minutes.

The Wolves aren't going to win if Ant and KAT continue to play like this. If they figure it out, then they can still win the series. Two close losses and they have been mostly terrible. Kidd has also coached circles around Finch and co the first two games.
